Wakko

My name is Wakko Warner!  The next morning, Yakko, Dot, and I woke up and we had some breakfast.  But during breakfast, I noticed that Dot looked down again, though I don't blame her for feeling that way.  I'd feel sad if I started getting omitted as well.  Yakko and I are supposed to have our lines memorized by tonight because they begin filming tomorrow.  However, because of Dot's situation right now, I decided that I wanted to take her on a little walk around the lot before I went to the garden with Yakko. So, I asked Yakko,
"Hey, big brother?"
"What is it, Wakko?", replied Yakko.
"Can I take Dot on a little walk before I rehearse my lines with you?  She needs one before tomorrow"
He thought about it for a little bit and then nodded while answering,
"Sure thing!  Just be sure to meet up with me at the garden when the sun begins to set, ok?"
"You got it.  Thanks!", I said back.
He then said to Dot,
"Hey Dot!"
Dot then looked up and said to Yakko,
"Hm? What is it?"
"Wanna go on a walk with Wakko today?"
"Well, a walk does sound nice..."

So, when Yakko left the water tower to make his way to the garden, Dot and I left the water tower as well. Right after I closed the door, we climbed down together. As we climbed down the ladder, Dot said to me,
"By the way, thanks again for walking me back to the water tower yesterday. It really meant a lot to me. I'm also glad that Yakko decided to let us take a walk around the studio lot together for a bit. I feel like that'll take my mind off of my current...situation..."
"No worries, Dot. You are my cute little sister, after all" I replied with.
When we got down, we began walking around the Studio Lot. It's a bright and sunny day and we saw many actors dressed up in costumes, crew members carrying props, and toons walking to the soundstages they needed to be in.  All of us know a lot of these people now that we've been here for at least three years now. Some of them, especially those who work on Animaniacs, are a lot like family to us. So, it felt nice for Dot and I to see familiar faces as we walked around.

As we were walking in between soundstages, I saw Hello Nurse pass by.  Obviously, we stopped and I shouted,
"HellOOOOO Nurse!"
"Boys, go fig", said Dot, playfully.
Hello Nurse stopped and turned around.  She smiled and said to us,
"Oh, hello Wakko!  Hello Dot!  Didn't notice you at first.  Nice day for a walk, isn't it?"
She then looked around for a bit and said,
"Say, where's Yakko?"
"Oh, he's just rehearsing his lines.  Wakko's the one who wanted to take me out for a walk today" Dot replied.
I joined in with,
"You see, she hasn't had any good news for the past few days.  First, she only got bad fan mail the other day and then yesterday, she found out she wasn't in the script because the show staff wants to start omitting her."
I saw Dot lower her head after I said that.  I also heard Hello Nurse gasp and she said,
"That's terrible...no wonder Dot seems a bit down.  I'm sorry this is happening.  I hope she's getting through it well enough..."
Dot looked up and replied with,
"I hate being hated.  I've been an emotional wreck because of it.  And getting omitted isn't much better.  But let me just say that this walk is helping me out for sure."
"Well, I'm glad for you, Dot.  Just know that no matter what people say about you, you'll always be cute to us.  But I don't blame you for feeling sad, whatsoever."
Hello Nurse turned to me and said,
"You know, you and Yakko are great big brothers for supporting your sister during these times."
"Why wouldn't we be?  She's our little sister, after all" I said.
"Well, I better get going, but it was nice encountering you two.  And don't worry Dot, you can get through this!"
As we continued walking, I was waving goodbye (with hearts in my eyes, of course) to her while Dot said,
"I'll try!  Thanks for the support!"

It had been about two hours since we began our little walk and I noticed that Dot was beginning to look like she had a little bit of a smile. That made me feel pretty happy, so I said,
"Is that a smile I see?"
Dot looked up at me and said,
"Huh? Was I smiling?"
"Come on, baby sister, admit it!"
Now smirking, Dot continued with,
"Hmm, I was?"
"Do it!" I replied with a smirk on my face too
"Was there a smile on my face?"
"Don't deny it, you were totally smiling a bit!"
"Are you sure?"
"Sure I'm sure!"
"Hmm, all alright. I was smiling a little!"
I then gave Dot a big hug, which caught her by surprise. She giggled and hugged me back, which made me feel good about myself. Dot then said,
"I'm glad we're on this walk. I'm starting to feel a little better already"

We then stopped hugging and we continued our way through the Studio Lot. As we were walking nearby more soundstages, we ended up bumping into someone because neither of us were paying attention, causing us to fall down. Dot said,
"Whoops! Sorry!"
"Didn't see where we were going" I said after getting up.
We then heard a familiar voice respond to us with,
"Oh no, it's alright. But be careful next time, yes?"
We looked up and realized that we bumped into Dr. Scratchansniff! Dot got happy, hugged him, and she said,
"Scratchy! Good to see you!"
"Nice bumping into you!" I said.
"So, it's only you and Dot this time?" said Dr. Scratchansniff.
"Why yes, it is. Yakko's currently at the garden rehearsing his lines. I'm just taking Dot on a walk around the studio because she hasn't been having good days"
"Oh, I've heard. I passed by Hello Nurse and she told me what happened. So tell me, Dot. How does all of that make you feel?"
Dot did some thinking and she said,
"Well, not so great. Being hated on is one of the worst feelings out there. And being omitted isn't better either...it makes me feel sad, angry at myself, and even scared; considering my fear of judgement and all..."
"You know, you're handling all of this quite well for someone who hates being judged. Can you tell me how you're doing it?"
"Oh, that's easy. It's all thanks to Yakko and this guy!"
Dot pointed at me and it made me smile a lot. I said,
"You really mean it, Dot?"
"Of course, big brother!"
I patted her on the head, which she really liked, and then Dr. Scratchansniff said,
"Dot, you're very lucky to have very supportive brothers. Make sure not to forget that"
Dot winked at him and said,
"No need to worry about that!"
"Well, I better get going now. You two enjoy the rest of your walk, yes?"
I said,
"Sure thing! Bye!"

After waving goodbye, Dot and I continued our walk around the lot. But by this time, the sun started to set. I realized this and said to Dot,
"Woah, we've been out for this long, already? Well, I guess it's time to walk you back to the water tower and for me to meet up with Yakko"
"Ok!"
It took us a bit since we were on the other side of the studio lot, which was all the way across from the water tower, but since it's so easy to find, it was no problem. As we were climbing back up the ladder, Dot said to me,
"By the way, thank you for the walk! It was quite relaxing and it was nice meeting up with Scratchy and Hello Nurse! Hope you have fun rehearsing your episode with Yakko!"
"You're welcome, Dot! I thought it was fun as well!"
We reached the top and I opened the door for Dot. When she hopped in, we waved at each other and she closed the door. I climbed down the ladder and made my way to the garden. I found Yakko, who called out to me,
"Hey Wakko! Over here!"
I ran over to him, sat down, and got my script out. Yakko asked me,
"So, how was the walk?"
I replied with,
"It was great! Dot felt calm and a lot better than the last two days. We also had a run in with Dr. Scratchansniff and Hello Nurse."
"That's great! Guess the walk was a great idea after all! Now, let's get cracking with our line memorization for this episode."
"Sure thing, big brother!"

By the time it became night, we were ready. We had all of our lines memorized and I practiced using my mallet at the perfect times. We got up, put away our scripts, and we made our way back to the water tower. We climbed up the ladder and we opened the door. I saw Dot notice us and she said,
"Oh, hi guys! Got your lines memorized?"
Yakko told Dot,
"You bet, sis! I heard you had a pretty good walk today"
"It really helped take my mind off of the haters"
Dot then started to feel a little down again.
"Though, it still sucks that I'm not part of the episode..." said Dot.
"Aw, no worries, Dot. At least you'll have a great time watching us film, right?"
Dot perked up, winked at Yakko and said,
"Right!"
"There we go!"
He then told both of us,
"Alright sibs, let's hit the hay. We gotta get up bright and early tomorrow for filming"
Dot and I said at the same time,
"Right!"

So after our usual bedtime routine, we went to bed earlier than usual. We always do this whenever we're filming an episode the next day. Surprisingly, Dot was able to fall asleep kinda happy this time. I then fell asleep happy as well. Not only was I looking forward to filming our latest episode tomorrow, but it made me feel good that Dot was feeling a little better about herself now.
