Don't Hate Me Because I'm Cute

Chapter 11

Dot

     Something strange happened two weeks ago.  As I was drowning myself in my shame for being the most hated Warner, I saw imposter Yakko and imposter Wakko come into the dungeon with a bag that looked exactly like Wakko's gag bag.  They took some keys and they opened the door to my cell.  Suddenly, I see them toss the bag into my cell.  The imposters then leave the dungeon, leaving it to be just me and the bag.  The bag opened up and my brothers popped out of it!  Yakko was the first to get out of it and he looked bruised and beaten from mallet smashes.  He put his hand on his head and said,
"We...we made it!"
Wakko, who also looked bruised from mallet smashes, came out of the bag next and replied,
"Good thing we're not stupid.  We knew they'd take us to Dot!"
They looked up and they saw me with my hands cuffed above my head.  At that point, I was absolutely dirty and I was also starving from not being able to eat.  They gasped and ran up to me.
"DOT!" they shouted.
I raised my head up and noticed them looking at me with sad looks on their faces.  I said,
"Yakko...?  Wakko...?  Wh-what are you guys doing here...?"
"We came to rescue you!" Wakko said happily
"That's right!  We were SO worried about you!" added Yakko.
"Two days ago, we found out that we were working with an imposter for the past week!  I was the first to notice"
"I then noticed too.  We dealt with it until, uhhhhhhhhh, she said something that you would NEVER say.  She then accidentally blew her cover and she revealed herself"
"Then, we decided to go looking for you and after battling it out with our imposters, we let ourselves be kidnapped so we could get to you!"
"Who knows what our imposters are doing now?  In the meantime, help me get Dot down, Wakko"
"Sure thing, Yakko!"

     Yakko then lifted Wakko up to one of my cuff chains and then he went to my other cuff chain.  They then pulled hard.  After about 30 minutes of pulling, they managed to pull off the cuff chains, breaking the cuffs in process.  Wakko landed on the ground, they both set me on the ground, and they got my hands out of the cuffs. I was no longer cuffed up to that dirty cell wall.  Yakko and Wakko cheered.  Yakko said
"We did it!"
"We uncuffed Dot!" replied Wakko.
But I wasn't happy.  I still wasn't free.  Neither of us were.  I didn't say anything.  I simply got down on my knees and lowered my head in shame again.  Wakko saw me and said,
"Dot...?  Are you ok...?"
"What's the point...?" I said.
"Huh?" Wakko replied.
"What's the point of coming here?  No one loves me.  I'm being omitted, so there was no point in coming here"
Yakko was getting really concerned and said,
"Dot, what are you talking about?"
"I wasn't supposed to be a part of this show!  Wanna know why they added me??  It's because the studios felt like they HAD to because they had to have a leading girl character for girls!  But even GIRLS don't like me!  So I'm completely pointless!"
Yakko put his hands on my shoulders.
"Who's done this to you??"
"No one!!" I shouted as tears were starting to come down my cheeks.
"All I'm doing is stating the facts!  No one thinks I'm cute!  Why did I EVER think I could ever be cute?!  Everyone knows that WAKKO'S cuter than me!  I've had it with trying to be loved!  Not only do the fans hate me, not only do crew members hate me, but my own FAMILY hates me!  If you two hate me so much, why did you come here?!  Why did you bother coming here to save me?!  For show ratings?!  I deserve to be in here for being even worse than Elmyra!  I've even disappointed mom and dad for not being as popular as you two!!"
Wakko, who was beginning to cry, rushed up to me and gave me a hug.  He shouted,
"DOT!  Listen to yourself!  We came here for YOU!  Not for the show!  YOU!!  And WHY are you bringing up mum and dad?!  What you're saying about them and especially us is NOT true!!"
"YES IT IS!!  All I am is the meanest, stupidest, dumbest, and bossiest character on the ENTIRE SHOW!!  AND THAT'S ALL I'LL EVER BE!!!"
After I was finished shouting, I lowered my head and began crying again.  My brothers both put their hands on my shoulders as I cried harder than I did before.
"The studio has probably ripped up my Pay or Play Contract that way I can be permanently removed from the show...because I'm not even trying to be loved anymore.  I just need to accept my fate..."

     I closed my eyes while I cried some more.  A few minutes later, I overheard some rustling from the bag and when I looked up, I saw Yakko and Wakko carrying a lot of envelopes.  I asked,
"What are those?"
Yakko said,
"Oh, fan mail!"
"Are they for you and Wakko, telling you guys how they feel sorry for you guys having to deal with a rotten brat like me...?"
Wakko, who had a warm smile on his face, walked up to me and handed me a letter while saying,
"Actually, these are all for you, Dot.  Open them all up and read them out loud to us"
"I don't know if that's a good idea, but there's nothing better for me to do, I guess"
I opened the letter Wakko gave me and this is what it said:
Dear Dot,
First off, this is my first fan mail to any star and I just want to say that I love you so much!  I love how confident you are.  Keep on being cute!
I then grabbed another letter and it said,
Dear Dot,
LOVE your episodes!  I also love your poetry corner!  When do you think they'll give you a proper solo song like your brothers?  You have a lovely singing voice!  When they give you your solo, I'll be very happy!
I grabbed yet another letter and I read,
Dear Dot,
You're my favorite Warner sibling!  You're sassy, funny, won't take any stuff from anyone, and you're really cute!  You and your brothers cheer me up whenever I feel down!  I can't wait to see more episodes about you!
Many more letters went like this.  I was confused at this point.  As I held the last letter I read, I said,
"There...there are fans that like...me?  They love me as much as they love my brothers?  Why...why am I feeling this?"
Yakko said,
"Call it a hunch sis, but uhhhhhhh I think you're having a realization!"
Yakko was right.  I was indeed having a realization.  I was slowly beginning to snap out of it.  I said,
"Woah...there are fans that like me...and they don't just like me...but they...l-l-love me-!  My own family loves me too!  Not just my parents, but...my brothers!!"
I was starting to feel happy.  I could feel myself beginning to smile.  And it was a huge smile as well. Yakko and Wakko began looking excited.  I then shouted,
"They love me!  The fans really love me!  I really am cute!  And these are way more letters than those other letters I got two weeks ago!"
I then closed my eyes, jumped high in the air, and then I did a bunch of flips in the air as my brothers watched me in amazement!  "WAHOOOOOOOOOO!!" I shouted as I flipped in the air.
Yakko shouted,
"You go, Dot!"
Wakko shouted,
"Our little sister is herself again!!"
I felt like a firework as I did those flips. After I was done, I landed back on the ground on my feet.  I opened my eyes and looked at my brothers with a smile on my face.  I said,
"I want to thank you guys for this.  Thank you for finding me.  Thank you for helping me snap out of all of this.  And thank you SO much for making me realize that even if I do have some haters, there will always be more people who love me!  Especially you two!"
I gave both of my brothers a big hug and they hugged me back with tears of joy in their eyes.
"You two really are the best older brothers a girl can ask for!  I love you, guys!!"
Wakko said,
"Aw, Dot!  You're our cute little sister!  We'll always be there for you!"
"Even if that means going out and rescuing you!" Yakko added with.

     After we finished hugging, we began discussing how we would escape.  Yakko said,
"Alright, sibs.  Let's look through Wakko's gag bag to see what we can use to escape this dirty dungeon!"
I interrupted with,
"Sorry, but toon abilities can't work in this dungeon.  It's toon proof.  Trust me, I tried using my flower as some sort of way to try and escape on my own.  Nothing worked.  You can't summon anything.  All you'll find in Wakko's gag bag are the letters you brought to me"
Wakko then said,
"I don't think so!"
He digged through the bag and he found a smaller bag inside it.
"Ah here it is!  My very own emergency food supply bag!  I made this bag to help me out with my hypoglycemia.  There's enough food in here to last us weeks!"
My mouth watered and I said,
"Hey Wakko!  Can I have some food?  I've been starving for weeks!"
Wakko gasped and put his hand on his mouth.
"Oh my-!" he said.
He grabbed some food and gave some to me.
"Here you go, baby sister!"
I quickly ate the food, which was SO satisfying, and then Yakko and Wakko ate some food as well.
"Well sibs, all we can do for now is wait around and hope someone will come find us.." said Yakko
"Don't worry, big brother!  I'm sure someone will!" replied Wakko
And that's pretty much what we've been doing for the past two weeks after that day, along with eating food from the emergency food supply bag.  Until today that is.
