chapter 7 : Apologies

Ace's P.O.V

As I'm leaving Naomi's room I can hear her muffled cries. for the first time in my life I felt bad. I didn't want to hurt her but she needed to know her place. I went down to the kitchen to find Jake. I needed to apologize for the way I treated him. He's been with me ever since I took over and  he's like a brother to me. He's seen me at my best and my worst.

When I got to the kitchen Jake was sitting at the island as Stacy attended to his injury.i knew I over reacted because I knew those two were together .There was no way he wanted Naomi.He wouldn't hurt me or Stacy like that.

As I entered the kitchen Stacy left to give us some privacy.

"Jake...man i'm sorry.i don't know what came over me" I said looking at him.

"Its alright man jealousy just got the best of you" he said letting out a light chuckle.

I laughed as well.

"Does she really mean that much to you...i mean I've never seen you so worked up before" he says looking at me.

I sat down next to him at the island exhausted.

"Are you okay man" he asked with a worried expression.

"It's the reason I bought her Jake... she looks so much like her" I said pausing mid-sentence.

"I was scared at first but then all the memory's from before everything happened came rushing in" I said dazed by the past memories.

"Are you talking about Amara" Jake asked.

"Man you need to forget about her and Kane. What they did was unforgivable, but you need to move on" He said sounding convincing.

"I - i just can't. i loved her jake" I said sadly.

"Ace" he says putting a hand on my shoulder

"its either that or ruin your chances with Naomi. She doesn't deserve the bad end of the stick just because someone else ruined it.

I got up from the island and went upstairs to my room leaving jake. shit maybe he was right. Naomi has done nothing to me and all i can do is be a dick. I took a shower and got ready for bed. As I'm lying in bed, I couldn't help but think about Naomi. I wasn't always a dick but because of them this was the new me.

I woke up the next morning and got ready for work. I went downstairs to grab breakfast. i was in a rush because I had very important meetings with some clients at Killian Corp. My business was just a cover story for how I really made my money. I was head of my father's mafia which was passed down to me when he died. it couldn't go to my older sister Eleanor or as I call her Nora because she was a woman. i sold guns, drugs and ran a night club called toxicity filled with drugs and pleasure. whatever made money, I dealt in it.

Naomi was nowhere to be found but I just took it as she slept in.

I hopped in my car and headed to work.

It was close to midnight when I came home. there was just so much paperwork at the office.

before I got home Jake had called telling me how Naomi didn't come out of her room all day. I went upstairs to her room to check on her. I opened the door to find her asleep on the bed. I closed the door behind me before going to wake her up.

Naomi's P.O.V

After last night I took a shower and cleaned myself up.i was done I didn't want to be here anymore.i couldn't take being treated like this much longer.

I stayed in the room to scared to run into Ace or eaten for that fact but my plan didn't work quite as well seeing as though I heard the room door open in the middle of the night.

I pretend to sleep as I heard his foot steps make thier way over to me.i could feel the heat radiating of his body as he knelt down, coming face to face with me.

"Naomi...hey wake up" he says shaking me.

I open my eyes to find him staring back at me.

"Sorry for waking you but we need to talk".

aww how nice of ace to apologize.
