• sugawara was invited to a masquerade ball by the soon to be king, kageyama • kageyama is being forced to be king by his parents but he just wan play volleyball 😫 • after kageyama becomes king, he won't be able to play volleyball since he has to do the whole ruling of the kingdom thing 🙄🙄 • sugawara is wearing a black suit but there's hints of gold sprinkled all over and his mask would be gold

**his mask****** • koushi would walk up the steps that lead into kageyama's room and knock on his door with his face covered and his hand behind his back • suga kinda pretends to be polite and stuff but they're literally teammates so once kageyama opens the doors, koushi immediately cuts that out and acts more playful towards kageyama • i feel like suga would have a lot of experience with royals but he wouldn't be one. suga's parents are friends with royals so he kinda knows a few things • kageyama has a frown on his face while he sits in bed with his crown sat beside him. • kageyama told his parents that the people he invited weren't his teammates, they were just his friends and since his parents lowkey live under a rock, they believed him. • kageyama was probably forced by the rest of kurasuno to invite hinata since it would've been rude to invite the whole team and not his partner. • "i don't know why i should be king.
you guys have seen me, right? it just doesn't fit," kageyama complains while staring at himself in the mirror with his crown on. • "i don't see why you can't! i think you'll do really good! it's only till.... when does it change again?" • "I don't even know" kageyama says as he sits back down on his bed. • "wow look at all those people!!" nishinoya yells while looking from kageyama's window to see people so far down they're like ants "finally.. IM TALLER THAN ALL OF YOU!!" noya yells again but right after he yells that asahi shuts the window closed hoping no one heard. • "kags this place is huge, how come this is the first time we've seen it?" suga asks. • "it's just weird, this was my first house but my parents wanted me to grow up in a normal house which is stupid because i was going to be king anyways so what's the point ykno?" kageyama answers. • then a knock on the door. kageyama gets up and opens it "Huh.. there's no one there," • "IDOT IM DOWN HERE SHUT UP OH MY GOD IF I COULD IF I COULD I WOULD PUNCH YOUR FACE SO HARDSMSMMS" the orange thing yells from below. • hinata is literally 🤏 this close to getting kicked out • kageyama almost bursts out of laughter when he sees hinata in a suit but his parents call his over and he gets all grumpy again • kageyama quickly puts on his crown and fixes up his fit • kageyama walks out tall, hands folded behind his back, like a pro • suga is peering through the doorway, literally DYING because kageyama's hair is messed up and he just wants to fix it himself bro • all the guests are astonished by kageyama because they all thought that kageyama would be 5 still? • sugawara sneaks out of kageyama's room and just walks around since guests were allowed to do so which is strange • suga stands tall as he sneaks food in a small bag he stuffed in his pocket and this was actually kageyama's idea! he wanted them to take as much food as they can because he thinks it'd be funny when one hour in the party, all the food is completely gone • suga ends up eating some food and it's literally so good • he even covers his mouth because he's eating it so sloppily • sugawara ends up going back to the main ball room where everyone is masked and dancing along with the beautiful music playing. • suga is very overwhelmed and he just wants to find his friends, through the sea of cheerful dancing people, young and old, suga finally spots kageyama and runs through the crowd to get to the rest of the group. • once he reaches them he puts his arm around kageyama and daichi and asks "you guys want to ditch and go to the court at school?" with a mischievous smile. • the team responds just with their faces, surprised. because suga really isn't the type to do that kinda stuff but he was risking to do it because kageyama genuinely looked miserable. • the surprised expressions turn into excited expressions and kageyama turns around to the back of the castle while the rest of the team follow him. • kageyama leads them to a door and all they can see is white. the ground is covered in snow but they don't care! they run (very slowly) in the snow all the way to the school and they open the doors to the volleyball court. • and it's like kageyama's finally eyes open and suga sees that. • it's like a shimmer in kageyama's eyes that disappears once he gets involved with his family •SO IMAGINE THIS •FANCY KURASUNO +PRINCE KAGEYAMA JUST PLAYING VOLLEYBALL HAPPILY • my heart. • at the end of a 3 on 3 game, suga high fives all of the guys and it's just really wholesome!
