• oikawa would probably show up in one of his best fits just to study • oikawa walks outside on his way to the cafe without a warm jacket because he just wants to look good. • oikawa wears this long brown trench coat probably with a baret or messenger hat and he just looks really fancy for no reason • once oikawa gets to the cafe he'd sit down and wait till you get there so you guys can order something but while he's sitting there • oikawa realizes • he forgot his bag • NOW HES NOT GOING TO LET ANYONE KNOW THE OIKAWA TOORU JUST FORGOT HIS BACKPACK WHEN HE LITERALLY CAME TO THE CAFE TO STUDY • so you know what he does • HE RUNS THROUGH THE SNOW ALL THE WAY HOME AND KINDA SLIPS ON ICE AND THATS JUST REALLY EMBARRASSING FOR HIM BUT HE KEEPS RUNNING TO GET HIS THINGS • a pencil or two fall out on the run back to the cafe but nothing too crazy • oikawa sits back in his chair all sweaty so he grabs napkins to dry his face • he's out of breath and the workers are Very Concerned • oikawa texts you asking if you're on your way • but you're as slow as a turtle ig so he isn't surprised when you respond with almost for the 4th time. • oikawa sets up all his things, all very neat and enough room for the drinks and small pastries. • that all messes up when you get here • once you get there you throw your bag, coat and phone on the table • and oikawa is just there, in disbelief of what just happened • all that work • gone • oikawa kinda just ignores what just happened but you can still see the pain in his eyes. • "so what should we order?" you ask. • "I'm in the mood of something chocolatey," oikawa says while he slowly tries to fix the table up • "I can order if you want, since I asked you to help me out," you say as you slowly get up and grab your wallet with a cute keychain. • "yeah... that's probably for the best," oikawa says after checking his wallet. • i feel like oikawa would spend all his money on clothes and volleyball gear • after you leave oikawa fixes up your side of the table by hanging your coat and backpack on the back of your chair and then makes all his things more spread out so you can see everything too • he also moves his chair to be closer to you • all of oikawa's notes would be so organized and understanding because oikawa wouldn't dare to miss out on any game just because he didn't understand something in class • you come back to sit with oikawa but come back with a cup of ice cubes. • "what's with the cubes" oikawa asks with his head resting on his palm. • "oh.. they're just for me to crunch on while we study. for some reason I get really angry when I study so this is the only thing that'll help me ig" you say. • oikawa's eyes suddenly shrink in fear. • this was your first time studying together so oikawa has no clue what's going to happen. • it's currently 4:47 pm. • the cafe closes at 9 pm. • the cashier is kinda ShyTM so he very lowkey yells out "uh.. y/n? order.. 5!" • "isn't he cute?" you say purposely to get on oikawa's nerves. • "very ! small baby aw aw little teddy bear aw so tiny ! I want to squeeze his cheeks yes.." oikawa says sarcastically. • you smile, mess up oikawa's hair and walk away • oikawa is very worried about his hair so he takes his phone camera right out to see if it's okay. • you come back with two trays and oikawa fixes up the table to make enough room for the trays • once you sit down oikawa puts on his glasses • "oh my god you need to use your glasses more," you say. • "i only need them for reading.. if I use them otherwise it'll be hard to see from far with them." oikawa says not taking a hint. • "i wasn't being for real. i just think they look cute on you," you say. • oikawa looks up, his head still low but his eyes glaring up at you. his serious face turns into a smile. • "just the words I was waiting for, you look cute too y/n," oikawa says in a flirty tone • "not the time oikawa, we need to STUDY!" you say enthusiastically. • but you are actually not enthusiastic about this • studying is the last thing you want to do • "fine," oikawa says. • oikawa hands you your drink and food and he takes his own. he then searches for your hand underneath the table and he intertwines his hand with yours. • oikawa pretends he isn't holding your hand and just searches for somethings on his laptop • "so.. what I'm thinking is we eat first, then study. or we could eat while studying.." oikawa suggests. • "let's eat while studying, just to get this all over with," you respond with a gloomy look on your face. • "it's okay y/n I'll try to make this as fun as possible," • "not even you can make it fun" • "ouch"
WHILE STUDYING • "okay so what do you think number 7 is?" oikawa asks. • oikawa made his own math worksheet for you just to get some practice. • "hmm... uh.." • oikawa is just staring at you with an adoring expression. • "what?" you ask with a small chuckle. • "nothing.. so number 7.." oikawa responds trying to snap out of it. • you grab an ice cube and shove it into your mouth angrily. • oikawa is very alarmed but he tries to sound calm so you calm down "it's okay.. take your time, this ones a tough one," he says. • "YOU MADE IT DIFFICULT ON PURPOSE?!" you ask with your mouth stuffed with ice. • "y/n... please..." oikawa begs. • usually oikawa would bully you if you didn't know the answer to something that would be easy for him but he kinda noticed you're having a tough day so he wanted to go a bit easy on you • you grumble angrily as you stuff another ice cube into your mouth.
AFTER STUDYING • after studying oikawa walks with you home • your dad waves and has small talk with oikawa as if he were his son • which is kinda sad since your dad doesn't talk like that with your actual brother 🏃♀️ • oikawa and your dad are like best friends. • after oikawa leaves, your dad goes back to normal • normal as in : 🗿🗿
