Izzie and The Time Keeping Owl Book 1: Lost

Chapter 5

Izzie darted out of the cave when she heard KoKo's voice, She heard that her friend was distress so she decided it was time to go find her. She took one glance at the injured being in front of her and told the beauty to be careful that she would be back.  She looked back at Izzie and nodded as if she understood. As Izz started heading in the direction of KoKo the Pegasus said "Thank you for saving me now go and find your friend, I'll be here waiting for you. I believe my mother is out there so be careful. My mother doesn't understand what is going on and all she knows is that I am hurt and that I can't reach out to her."  Izzie nodded her head and darted out to find KoKo. KoKo if you can hear me I'm... 

Whack! KoKo and Izzie collided and the pegasus following her friend came to an abrupt halt and started looking at Izzie with wide eyes and a wondering mind.  KoKo quickly gathered her bearings and looked back and forth between the two. It was as if they were having a staring contest. Izzie understood that this must've been that beasts mother and said. "Come now, We won't hurt you. I understand you are worried and you want to know where your child is?" Izz slowly put out her hand to show she meant no harm. The Being looked at her and blew out a puff of air and nodded her massive head. "I can smell her blood on your hands... How dare you? Did you hurt her!?" The Pegasus started to get worked up again when Izz said, "No! We did not hurt your child. If anything we saved her. She was being chased by a rogue wolf when we came across her. My friend KoKo here distracted the wolf while I took her to safety. I assure you she is safe. We can take you to her." The pegasus calmed down enough to determine if what was said was true. After a moment of thought she determined to find out for herself, "Alright, take me to my daughter. I'd like to see for myself." Izzie nodded and said, "Follow me."

KoKo fluffed her feathers and stretched out her wings.  Goodness I am sore... I hope this works out in our favor... I really don't think I can handle much more today.  As they make it back to the cave Izzie asks the Pegasus what her name was and what they was doing when they got seperated. She said her name was Celeste and had explained that they were going to visit the Kingdom of the White Bloodline when they got sidelined by a mysterious blast throughout the sky. KoKo popped up and said "I felt it last night! I was wondering what it could've been."  Celeste agreed that it was unusual and continued "When we lost our way we came down to the ground to get some rest. We landed by a stream and as we were getting a drink we heard this low growl and I told Destiny to fly and get away as quick as possible." She looks down and with a tear in her eye continued, "Alas she was not quick enough for I was far enough up and when I looked back to see if she was up as well... the rogue  had bit her wing and she fell to the ground. I flew down and tried to knock the wolf away from her and told her to run. As I stood between them she ran and the wolf knocked into me and we fought. Sadly he got away from me and chased after Destiny." She looked frightened for a sec and regained her composure. Celeste continued again saying, "I chased after them and that's when I heard the howl and got scared and started to run faster." She looked towards KoKo "That's when we collided and I do apologize, I've only ever heard bad about your kind and I assumed you were in with the rogue." KoKo looked back in her direction and tilted her head and said, "It is okay, I understand now what was running through your mind. I forgive you and I once thought I was bad until I met Izzie here and she helped me see that not everything is bad." KoKo looked over at Izzie who was slowing down. "We made it back to the cave" Izzie looked at Celeste and KoKo and continued. "I don't know about you but I am beat and hungry. I am going to wash this off" She says as she motions to the dirt, blood, and grim covering her body, "and find something to eat." Izzie steps over to her hidden bag and grabs the wand she hid right before she left to see if there was anything she could think of to conjure up something different to wear, Izzie is still a little weary about this so she hides the wand in her jacket sleeve hoping Destiny didn't remember her wand. KoKo noticed that Izzie was hiding the wand and proceeds to talk to Celeste and Destiny while Izzie goes and gets cleaned up.

 "So Celeste, you mentioned earlier about The Kingdom of the White Bloodline? If I may ask how far away is that? I've only heard about this through stories for this is the first time in a long time I've been away from my home." Celeste looked over at KoKo and explained "The Kingdom has only been around for 100 Years and it started off as a safe haven for anyone who has White or Silver Blood. Example: Me and my daughter here for instance we have silver blood.. only a handful of us still live... They have gotten extremely cautious on who they let in anymore since the Princess was stolen from her bed 22 years ago..." KoKo looked at Celeste and asked. "The Princess? If I may ask how old was the princess when she was taken?" Celeste thought about it for a second and said, "She was 2 years old when she was taken. Her father The King left her mother right before she was born and had sentenced the mother to life in prison for endangerment to the baby. The mother gave birth to the child and was sent away. The King didnt think nothing of it and allowed the mother to see the child on her second birthday. When the mother saw her child and seen her beauty, she decided that she needed to run away with her so she waited till nightfall and escaped her cell. For two years the mother was working on a plan and she was excited to finally put it in motion." KoKo looked distraught but Celeste kept going. 

"The mother had worked with the black witch that was in the cell across from hers for those two years before and together they came up with a plan. See the witch that was imprisoned had her wand taken away and her magic bound by the Castle Witch, and that night The King let the mother out she was able to get her hands on the wand after poisoning the witch. The King did not know this and was blind to the fact that later that night his beloved daughter would soon be stolen."

KoKo couldn't believe what she has heard and said, "Do they know where they could've gone or if the Princess is still alive?" It was then Destiny spoke, "No, They believe the Princess is still alive and The King stays locked up in the castle waiting for return... No one has seen or heard from the mother or The Evil Witch since that night and they believe that they are waiting to kill the Princess for her powers... The King bounded the Princess's powers to a wand and hid it away until the Princess was Old enough. We was on our way there because the wand came up missing and no one has been able to find it."
