Green eyes seemed openly and deviously curious as he focused his gaze on first his dagger then her twin. His eyes lit up again apparently at the thought of fighting him. He seemed slightly sadistic. Or maybe he just had nothing to lose.
The main man just watched Lukas, impassively. Assessingly.
Grey eyes seemed emotionless still, yet his eyes were glued to every move her brother made and his body seemed to tense.
"Yes?" Lukas asked the men coldly, stepping out ahead of Drew. Green eyes' grin grew further.
"Lukas, stop. You don't need to do this, we will all fight. It's the least you deserve." Drew protested angrily, pulling him back.
Lukas raised his arm sharply to remove Drew's grip. He hated being touched because he had been experimented on a lot of times. They both had actually. Though Celia stayed a Magic, their injections had given her higher access to her powers. For Lukas however, they had injected him with werewolf DNA.
They both hated it. It enhanced their fighting skills minutely and made them further resent what they were being trained to do. Not to mention the pain, the agony that had coursed through their veins like literal lava and the lifetime of unforgettable memories. In Celia's case, this was certainly true.
This werewolf DNA made him explosive and aggressive, though not to Celia. Never to Celia.
"I know you will all fight. That is why I will leave. I appreciate your hospitality and offer, but, after all, I am an assassin. I can take care of myself. " Lukas told Drew coldly, though politely. The last part of his speech seemed to be directed at her. She assumed he probably wanted her to let him go. She also knew that he knew that it was pointless.
He then continued under his breath "and would everyone stop bringing up the terrible childhood."
And she knew that this part was for her too.
The main man just watched this interaction emotionlessly, alongside his companions. Lukas turned back to face them, with raging eyes and a bored and expectant expression.
"So? Who do you need me to kill?" He asked with an air of irritation, as if being kidnapped so that he could murder people was a mild annoyance to his day. Celia knew he was only being so nonchalant about it so that he could drag them away from her so they couldn't work out that they were siblings.
She knew that of course she would then go after them and rescue her brother.
The main man raised an eyebrow at his acceptance and motioned to the men at the back to move forwards and fasten his arms in front of him.
Lukas watched tiredly as they did so, before raising his arms and testing the cuffs experimentally and inspecting them, before raising his gaze to the men in front of him with a cunning look.
"Well, aren't we advanced. Specially made handcuffs and everything." He exclaimed in fake wonder before lowering them, returning to his normal disinterested expression and trudging past them in a bored manner. "Cute."
Grey eyes just watched coldly, a little amused but started to follow behind Lukas. Green eyes swiftly plucked his dagger out of Lukas's bound hands as he passed, resulting in a devious grin from Lukas.
A call from the platform stopped all the men as they were leaving, turning back to watch. The main man hadn't moved yet, as if he was expected a callback, neither had green eyes as he played with his newly returned dagger.
Lukas turned around warily, on edge. Jason had pushed to the front of the crowd, and leaped over the platform, landing easily.
Celia and Lukas' eyes both narrowed, as they waited for the apparent betrayal.
