"Okay then. Well, you have your three questions, go ahead."

They were left with the gazes of the men in front of them watching them intently, looking at each other to decide what to say.

"What age and species are you?" Carter asked calmly. The others seemed to agree with his question, though Roman looked bored.

"We're 17. We don't have a particular species." Lukas narrowed his eyes at their cheat of a question and answered coldly.

The men nodded, though Isaac looked irritated at their lack of a full explanation.

"Why are you so protective of each other?" Hunter asked this time.

"They're twins." Julian interrupted Hunter firmly after his question, and Carter nodded too.

This raised Celia and Lukas' eyebrows, as well as many of the men's. Roman looked suspicious, and Zane looked calculating.

"Is this true?" Lincoln demanded.

The twins nodded shortly.

"How did you know?" Lukas asked stiffly. Carter and Julian exchanged meaningful glances, before clearly deciding on something.

"We saw how Celia reacted when Lukas was getting beaten up by Roman." Julian said to them, then turned to the rest of the group "I don't know if we've told all of you this already, but all twins, no matter what species, can feel an echo of each other's pain."

Some of the group looked impassive as though they already knew, and some looked like a few things had just clicked into place.

"That's why she fell when Lukas was getting beaten up, and that's why being stabbed in the arm affects each other so much because they can feel an echo of exactly how much pain the other is in." Carter continued gruffly.

Lukas and Celia exchanged glances.

Roman fixed his eyes on Celia. No emotions shone through, but when her eyes met his, he held her gaze intently.

"But I don't know what species they are, because each species has a different connection between twins. Some can sense each other's location, some can tell when each other's powers are used, some can tell whether there is a threat near them or not, it varies." Julian continued, then seemed to back himself out of the conversation, leaning back into his seat.

The men seemed to process this, no-one asking the question they all were thinking about because somehow they seemed to know that Celia and Lukas wouldn't tell them what their power was.

"Continue and answer the previous question," Lincoln commanded them lowly instead.

"Well, as you just revealed, we care about each other as we are twins. I do not see what else you would require from that question." Celia answered curtly.

This earnt them a quiet appraisal.

"For our last question, we would like to know the extent of your abilities," Zane asked abruptly.

Not everyone looked happy with the question, but no-one dared to argue with the silently brooding man. Lukas cocked an eyebrow as if to ask how he wanted him to do that.

"If you wanted to, by this evening, would you both be able to escape us?" Isaac continued, his voice a quiet sliver.

Lukas grinned devilishly at the group, before turning to his twin.

She glanced at him before doing a slow full turn, assessing everything around them. For a second, everyone at the table was silent.

She turned back to Lukas and returned his devilish grin. They faced the group.
