Chapter 12- Vicki

Scarlett's POV

Today is Halloween but I was scared to go out cause of the Vicki problem which Uncle Stefan was (trying) to help her then daddy stepped in but what made things worse was the teenager ran away feeding on Logan fell and daddy killed him. 

When it was time to get into my costume I got dressed in a yellow spongebob dress that Elena got me,  I had my bucket full of candy thanks to Uncle Stefan and some other adults from around town.  When we got to the school me and Stefan went to find Elena seeing her and Matt dressed up in matching doctors and nurses costume accompanied by Vicki who was dressed in a vampire costume.  "What are you doing here? I thought I told you to leave me alone!" Vicki demanded looking at my Uncle then looked at her brother.  "I'm just trying to help you" Uncle Stefan said looking at her stepping forward but was pushed back by Matt.  "Dude back off!" the blonde said with his hand on my Uncle's chest while Elena placed herself in between the two.  "Matt we're just trying to help Stefan didn't do anything wrong!" Elena explained while Stefan looked around for the  vampire  seeing she disappeared.  "Elena we have to go!" Uncle Stefan said picking me up and we walked away from Matt who went the  other way to look for his sister.

When we found Vicki she was with Jeremy about to bite him but Elena ran over and pushed her away cause Vicki to look at the Gilbert girl with a evil look.  Elena and Jeremy went to leave going through the bus yard but was stopped when non other Vicki grabbed Jeremy pushing him to the ground then grabbed Elena throwing her to a pile of wood the vamp sped over to her grabbing her by the neck pushing her back against the side of the bus.  I ran over to Vicki after Uncle Stefan put me on the ground and tried to push her away from Elena but was grabbed by the hair and thrown to the ground.  "Don't hurt her!" Elena said while I hugged my arm to me with tears falling down my face.  "I'm not gonna hurt the brat just you" Vicki said about to bite the brunette's neck but was cut off when she started turning gray and fell to the ground dead,  seeing Uncle Stefan the that killed her I got off the ground running towards him being picked up and hugging tightly.  "It's ok baby I got you you're safe!" Uncle Stefan said hugging me to him putting his foreheads against my temple while I wrapped my arms around his neck... after awhile Uncle Stefan went to check on Jeremy and Daddy came he looked down at me in Elena's arms and for some unknown reason I saw sadness in his eyes but it disappeared as fast as it came.  "You should go your wounds are bleeding".  Daddy said sarcastically while Elena got off the ground looking at Damon with hurt and anger.  "This is your fault!" Elena said walking forward I tried to pull her back but I was t strong enough.  "You confuse me with someone with remorse" daddy said looking at Elena then at Vicki's body expressionless.  "It matters and you know it!" The Burnett said pushing daddy then ended up slapping him and from that moment I thought Elena was a goner but when Elena went to slap him for the second time her hand was grabbed in a tight grip causing to whimper in pain.  "You need to leave your wounds are bleeding... you need to leave and take the brat with you" Damon said picking up Vicki's body and vamp sped away.

Once we got Elena's house I was really sleeping so Elena carried me to the front porch seeing Uncle Stefan waiting on us.  "I'm gonna check on Jeremy" the Burnett said handing me to my uncle then walked inside closing the door behind her.   "How are you feeling?"  my Uncle asked looking down at me stroking my hair.  "I'm ok" I said putting my head on his shoulder rubbing my eyes then closed them falling into a much needed sleep.

(No one's POV) (Time Skip)

Damon compelled Jeremy then the Salvatore brother's  went home.  Stefan went upstairs to his niece's room putting her candy bucket on the dresser then woke her up to take a bath then he tucked her in kissing her head then left going downstairs seeing Damon drinking bourbon looking into the fire.  "What you did today I want to thank you" the younger Salvatore said looking at the Older Salvatore who stood up getting another drink mixing it with blood.  "I didn't do it for you" the blue eyed Salvatore said looking at his brother with a cold glare.  "I know cause you did it for your daughter. You might not care now but it's gonna come a day where your really gonna care about that little girl upstairs cause she cares and loves you" Stefan said while Damon slammed his cup down.  "I don't know how many times I have to keep telling you that brat doesn't mean a thing to me and never will,  I don't want her so you can stop trying to convince yourself that I give a damn." Damon said looking at his brother who started at him with eyes full of pain.  "I hope you soon realize thats it's not gonna be Katherine that's your humanity it's gonna be Scarlett,  she needs you her mother gave all rights to you please Damon start caring for that little girl your all she wants!" Stefan begged his little brother.  "I don't see why Scarlett's mother would do a stupid thing like that cause she knew from the beginning I never wanted children, there annoying as hell and they cry too damn much and they're needy" Damon said while Stefan looked at his brother in shock.  "Damon she's a little girl of course she's going to be needy and cry and most of all her mother died saving her so you can stop with your mean comments!" the younger Salvatore said looking at his older brother hating what was being said about his niece.  "So what your saying is it was Scarlett's fault that her mother is dead?" The older Salvatore asked sarcastically.  "Damon why would you ask that! It's not her fault Scarlett and her mom was attacked and her mother died protecting Scarlett something you should have done so actually it's your fault! Stefan said letting his anger get to him walking away from his brother not nothing the hurt in Damon's eyes but the older Salvatore did what he does best which is covered it up poring another bourbon looking into the fire in the fireplace until the fire went out then the older Salvatore went upstairs to his room taking a shower then went to bed thinking about Katherine.  The sooner he got Katherine the sooner they can kill this whole stupid town and get the fuck out and never look back.
