Boxes of forgotten memories

(1994)

Twenty-nine year old Heather was sitting in her homes attic looking over old boxes that the family had accumulated over the years. She was going over what they still had upstairs before the big move. She could hear her husband chasing there son around somewhere down stairs. She huffed since he was supposed to be getting the boy ready for bed. She had already showered and changed into her nightgown, before taking on her task. She thought it would have been easier than it turned out to be. They had a lot of boxes hidden away in the darkness, forgotten boxes full of memories.

She couldn't get the light to work, chalking it up to simply a blown bulb. So she had gotten a flash light and now she had been digging around for almost two hours.

Her flash light was sitting next to her on the dusty floor why she shifted through another box with-

She smiled digging out her costumes and scripts. Her smile doubled when she spotted another smaller shoe box. She pulled it out and started looking over old photos.

Another half hour passed by and she had photos and scripts laying around her.

The floor creaked and she quickly flipped around, flash light ready. A man chuckled with his hands in the air and his eyes squinted, since he was being blinded.

"Boo. I guess?" He muttered. His wife exhauled. "Sorry Robert, you spooked me." She said lowering the flashlight. "Well I guess I still got game when it comes to scaring young beautys then huh?" She giggled. "Well I did catch you before you could do anything." He scoffed, getting next to his wife. "But I did indeed scare you enough to gasp and blind me so I still got it." She sighed resting her head on his shoulder. "Indeed." After a moment of silence she opened her eyes again. "Is Dylan in bed?" He hummed looking in the box. "Finally." He muttered.

"Hey look at this!" She shifted her position to get a better look at whatever had excited him so much.  "Wow that was actually the first picture we ever took together" Heather said with a bright smile.

"I don't know how you put up with all that gunk on your face for hours and hours." He chuckled. "Well you get used to it after awhile. And having you in the dressing room for company why they put it on me did make the prosses better." She grinned kissing his cheek. "Well if you didn't know I kind of had a thing for Mr. Kruger." She joked. Robert laughed, rubbing his hands on her arms. "Oh I knew. Look at this one." He muttered, moving to pick it up. Heather yawned, but focused on the photo he found.
