Astrid POV 

          As I walk out the front door of my house to go on my morning run I thought about hiccup. His Auburn messy hair, his forest green eyes, his crooked smile, the light freckles across his nose. Soon enough there were tears in my eyes. There hasn't been a day with out my crying with out me thinking about him. With out me wishing what things would of been like if he could of stayed. 

I know he couldn't of stayed but I wish he could of. 

It has been exactly 4 years and  3 months since hiccup got drafted.

I still remember the day he left 

I woke up to arms around me, I turned around to come face to face with a sleeping hiccup. I smiled watching him sleep. I look down at our naked bodies, remembering the amazing night. But then I remembered  why we did it last night. Hiccups leaving.  He has been drafted. I felt tear roll down my cheeks, I won't be able to see my hiccup for who knows how long. I felt a hand come up to my cheek and wipe my tears away, I opened my eyes to see hiccup with tears in his eyes too. He pulled me close into a hug, we stayed there forever, in each others arms. Our happy place, never wanting to leave. But we had to get up, 

We got dressed and ate breakfast barely sharing any words,  we were to depressed. 

Soon enough we were in the car with hiccup in his uniform, and me and my red and puffy eyes. 

"It will be okay, I will come home as so as I can" hiccup tries to comfort me 

"yea but who knows when that will be" I feel more tears  

We didn't talk till we got to the airport with the drafted were supposed to be. 

"OK here we are, I am going to miss you" I cried and ran up to hiccup jumping on his back.

"yea, you don't even know how much I am going to miss you"   

I get of his back when see a bunch of soldiers all saying good bye. and smash my lips on his and immediately feel him kiss back. 

"I love you so much and don't you forget it" I tell him my hands around his neck. 

"Never, and you don't forget  I love you too" 

 "5 minutes" we hear the lieutenant say who is here to collect the soldiers  

I smash my lips against his against his to feel our last kiss in maybe ever I put every once of love every once of passion into that kiss, and could tell he was doing the same. 

"love you so much" i told him and hugged him as tight as i cold 

"I love you too and will be back as soon as I can" he hugged me tight too 

Right as soon as I let him to go started walking backwards towards the plane but looking at me the whole time. I smiled and waived he gave his ticket to the lieutenant and started walking up the stairs  and right before he entered the plane he looked and me and mouthed 'I love you' and smiled and mouthed it back to him with as much love in my eyes as I could get. He walked in to the plane looking at me the whole time. 

Since that day we have tried to talk on the phone once a week but soon he couldn't talk anymore and the once a week call became once a month, but every call he would remind me how much he misses and loves me, and how much you thinks of me, I would always say the same to him. I would tell him how my life has been and he would tell me how his is. I always treasured the calls.  They were my life, cause the person in them are my world.
