2 person POV

"A CYCLOPS!?" you yell. "Aw, come ON! You've got to be kidding me!" A roar escaped from the forest, startling you. "Okay. You weren't kidding. Let's go!" You grab Leo's wrist and run towards the Big House, dragging him along.

~le time skip for convenience~

"Chironthere'sacyclopsandit'sintheforestandIthoughtthisplacewassafe!" you say as you burst through the door of the Big House, Leo in tow. But only Clarisse was there. "Um, hi. Who are you, and more importantly, where's Chiron?" you ask her. "I'm Clarisse. Head of the Ares cabin. Chiron's over by the archery practice. Why do you need him?" she says back. You could tell you had interrupted something because of the knife in the wall.

"There's a cyclops on the loose in the forest. And I'm pretty sure he's a big one." you tell Clarisse. "We got this. I'll go get the Ares cabin. You get your cabin. Meet me by the forest." she said. Well, more like ordered. But when she said, 'get your cabin', you realized you hadn't been claimed yet. "U-um, yeah. Will do, Clarisse." you stammered.

You looked at Leo. "I haven't been claimed yet," you told him. "Do you think I will?" "Yeah, of course. Everyone gets claimed at some point. Percy Jackson took care of that." he says. You two walked out of the Big House and toward the archery practice lessons Chiron was overlooking.

You ran up to Chiron. "Hey. Um, there's kind of a cyclops..in the forest..and Clarisse is getting the Ares cabin to battle it. Help, maybe?" you asked the centaur. "Oh, Clarisse. That girl just wants to fight everything. Well, I suppose I could be of assistance. Lead me to it."

~le another time skip, forced by the Ares cabin because they 'want to get to the fighting'~

You saw the entire Ares cabin in a big cluster by the forest entrance. Leo had been very quiet, so it startled you when he sneaked up next to you and shouted in your ear. You must have jumped a mile. He doubled pver, laughing at his own joke. "Oh man. You're too easy." he said in between fits of laughter. You glared at him, then reminded him that you two had a cyclops to battle. Clarisse finished talking to her cluster of half-siblings and motioned to you to get your butt over there.

You walked over to Clarisse. "Where's your cabin?! I thought I told you to bring them!" she yelled. You were surprised at how little of a temper she had. "Well, um, you see Clarisse, that's the thing. I don't have a cabin yet. I still need to be claimed." you told her. "Ugh. Fine. Let's just kill the thing and get it over with." she said.

The cyclops was, well, it was big. It had one big bloodshot eye, and a very ugly face. You had no weapon, so you informed Leo that you would be no help. He looked at you and said, "Maybe that's not true."

The cyclops roared. "Rrrrraaaahhh!! Many tasty demigods for lunch!! Will eat leftovers tomorrow!! Rrrraaahhh!!" Clarisse yelled to get its attention. "Hey you!! You there!! Big dummy!! You can't eat these people!! We need to kill you first!!" With that, the Ares cabin charged.

There was a lot of screaming and yelling. But this cyclops was a tough guy. He swatted away the biggest, buffest Ares kids. There were a lot of people injured on the ground soon. You started to sing, a habit you had often done when you felt awkward or useless. You sang (favorite song) a little louder, hoping something would happen. The cyclops had heard you, apparently. He was kinda, well, dancing. It was weird. He was doing this little jig that made the ground shake.

Chiron and Clarisse took this as an opening to attack. Clarisse threw her spear at the cyclops's eye, blinding it. Chiron went for the kill, exploding it into dust with an arrow headshot.

Then something weird happened. There was this bright glow above your head. It was a cartoonish looking sun. The weirdest thing was that it had sunglasses. That..made it a little weirder.

"Hey (y/n)! You've been claimed!" You hear Leo yell to you from back by Chiron. "By Apollo, apparently. Heh, a-parent-ly. 'Cause now we know, Apollo's your dad."
