~Teegan~
Driving to Daisy's, which is with out a doubt the best breakfast dinner in all of Austraila, I felt quite excited to see Luke again.
I mean I only met the kid yesterday but, there was just something about him. I don't know if it was his gorgeous eyes that I'd get lost in if I looked for too long, or the half smile thing he does quite often, or maybe even just the fact that he shows an interest in me; that being on friendly level or maybe even more. I just knew that this boy was different from the rest.
Consumed in my thoughts, the drive to Daisy's felt like it lasten five minutes. When in reality it was at least a twenty-five minute drive.
I spotted an empty parking space near the entrance of the dinner and pulled into it, making sure to stay inside the lines.
I shot Kaylie a quick smile, who was currently in the backseat singing along to the radio which was playing some Katy Perry song. Dark horse I believe.
Noticing the fact that the car had come to a stop, Kaylie quickly unbuckled her seatbelt and hopped out of the car. Following close behind her I unbuckled my seatbelt, checking my makeup which I had done before leaving.
Before leaving I quickly ran back upstairs to do my makeup, it only took about ten minutes. I'm not one to 'cake' my face, instead I stick to a sort of natural look. I applied my everyday winged eyeliner, mascara, and some foundation and concealer.
Rather pleased with my presentation I hopped out of the car and sped up to Kaylie, only to catch her already in the middle of a conversation with a firmiliar Blonde haired boy.
Luke
As soon as I was in sight, Luke immediately turned to me with the most genuine smile imaginable.
"Hey Luke" I began the conversation, giving him a smile. "Hey Teegs" he responded with a playful look.
"How did you even come up with that nickname and why would you ever use it?" I asked throwing my head back in laughter.
"Hey! You called me Lucifer its only fair" he responded throwing his hands up in the air in defence.
"Yeah, alright Lucifer" I chuckled turning to face Kaylie. "Alright, let's get seated shall we?" I stated raising my eyebrows.
"Sounds good to me" Luke and Kaylie both said in a unison.
Shaking my head chuckling at the weird coincidence, I waved them both to an empty booth in sight.
Luke sat on one side, while Kaylie and I sat on the other. "This place serves the best food I've ever had." Luke started the conversation studying the menu.
"I'll have to agree with you on that one" I responded also trying to decide what I'd like to order.
We all started making small talk and spoke about what ever came to mind, the waitress arrived at our table as soon as we all decided in what we'd like. After taking our orders, she shot Luke a wink.
As soon as she was out of sight I rose my eyebrows giving Luke a smirk, to which he returned with a few shakes of the head. "Not my type" Luke stated.
"Oh so Lucas has a type?", "Yes he does and that waitress most definetly is not a girl for me."
I giggled a bit before asking "So, what is your 'type'?" I questioned putting my fingers in air quotes when I said type.
"Well-" Luke started "She most definetly does not apply a pound of makeup, which that waitress clearly had"
I nodded signaling for him to continue. "And she has a good taste in music" he continued, "And she wouldn't be a straight forward and cocky as that waitress"
I replied again with a nod, Luke was about to continue before Kaylie cut him off. "Luke?" She asked to which he responded with a quick yes followed by a smile.
"Are you Teegan's boyfriend?" she questioned her eyebrows furrowed, clearly not understanding.
The question caught both me and Luke off guard since both our eyes widened at the strange question.
I was just about to clarify that me and Luke were not dating, but Luke beat me to it. "Um no, no I'm not Teegan's boyfriend" Luke responded sheepishly, his cheeks turning a light shade of pink.
I smiled nodding in a way to clarify what Luke was saying was the truth.
We kind of shrugged the question off because there wasn't any awkwardness afterwards, we continued conversation normaly.
"Well that's it for me" Luke said throwing his napkin onto his plate, signalling that he was finished with his meal.
"Same goes for me" I agreed, which Kaylie responded "I third that" rubbing her stomach.
Luke paid for mine and Kaylie's meal, I protested around ten times until I officially gave up and let him be a gentleman. "Ah well, I better get going" Luke said, standing up.
Me and Kaylie followed his actions by standing up as well, "If your not doing anything else, you can come back to my house" I told him grabbing my purse.
When I looked back up at Luke he had a genuine smile on his face, "Yeah, sure I'd enjoy that."
We all exited the dinner thanking the employees on our way out, I told Luke my address since he had also brought his car.
My parents and Dylan would be home late so I had nothing to worry about, and even if they did arrive home early I'm sure they'd take a liking to Luke.
I definitely have.
