Link's Journey Through Hyrule.

The Great Plateau Part 1

Link awakens from his 100 year slumber a bit confused as this familiar voice talks to him. "link, link, link,  Go over to that pedestal  and take the Sheika Slate" the voice says. Link gets out of this tub of light blue liquid and goes over to the pedestal and takes the Sheika Slate. A door opens and link walks through and sees two chests and some worn down boxes. He opens the chests and get worn out trousers and a old shirt. He puts them on and continues on his journey. Link walks trough a puddle and climbs a small wall and is greeted with a beautiful view of the plateau. He looks around and heads down this small hill. While link is going down the hill he sees a fire with an old man sitting next to it with a baked apple. "hey" says link. The old man looks at him and replies, " hello. you don't see many people like you around here." Link just looks at him not being able to think of a response. After a few seconds of trying to think of something to say and walks off continuing down the hill. The voice he heard earlier speaks to him again and tells him " look at the map on your sheika slate. Head to the yellow dot on your map". Link does as the voice says and heads towards the dot as instructed. He finds a pile of rocks and inside of the pile he finds a pedestal. It looked similar too the one he took the sheika slate from so he puts in in the slot. The ground underneath him shakes and it starts to elevate with rocks falling from on top of the pedestal and the area around it. After the ground stops shaking he realized he is now on top of a tower. he looks around and noticed more towers that had not been there a minute ago. Link  sees little platforms spiraling down the town so he hops down them carefully until he reaches the bottom of the tower. The old man paraglides towards link and link is in awe. The old man explains to him on how the only way of of the plateau is by using a paraglider. The old man then says' " If you want my paraglider you have to bring me the reward from that glowing shrine over there.". Link agrees and heads towards the shrine. He puts the sheika slate on the pedestal in front of the shrine and the doors open. Right before he enters the shrine he remembers he doesn't have a weapon to defend him self with. Link takes a good look around and sees a travelers sword and a wooden shield laying around. He takes them and then enters the shrine. He is greeted with another pedestal. He puts in the intended slot and this blue liquid drips on it. He looks at it and he has gained a rune called magnesis. The sheika slate explained how to use it then link was on his way. he moves these big metal sheets using the new rune and a door way is revealed. he jumps down and walks down this hallway. He enters another room and there is a stone wall with one metal block in the middle of it. Link moves the metal block knocking down the wall. He walks through the fallen blocks and sees a little thing with spider like legs. He Pulls out his sword and attacks the robot type thing. He swings at a few times and it shoots at him removing a few hearts. He hits it two more times and it dies. He continues through the shrine. He moves metal platforms to cross across the room he is in. He open a giant metal door and sees a mummified thing in a blue box.  he goes up too it and touches the box and it breaks into little shards. This think talks to him and says, " you have proven your courage by completing this shrine. Here is your spirit  orb. " This dark colored orb comes towards link and is absorbed into his chest. The thing disappears and link is teleported out of the shrine. The old man paraglides towards him once again and asks about the shrine. Link tells him he got the spirit orb and asks for the paraglider. The old man say he can't get it until he gets spirit orbs from the other three shrines. Link get frustrated and says' " that wasn't the  original deal.". The old man just explains that he has to do it or he does not get the paraglider. Link then goes off to find the other three shrines and complete them.
