- 6 month timeskip- literally nothing has happened except them getting closer like how relationships usually are so don't worry-

"So uh... How many dogs?-" I look around at the many different breeds of dogs huddled around me, excited to see me again.

Will gets up from petting them as he wipes his hands down on his pants.

"uh, well-" He starts awkwardly, avoiding eye contact as he stumbles to find the right words

"You don't know do you?" I raise an eyebrow trying not to laugh as I purse my lips

He laughs, his teeth showing

"No I do not" he gleams

"well not to worry, I'll take good care of all 47 of them," I say overexaggerating 

"Excuse me!?" His eyes widen as he turns around to start counting them

I lightly tap his shoulder

"I was being sarcastic." I laugh

He awkwardly laughs, his face twisting into a smile and back as he starts getting embarrassed

"Oh." He fixes his glasses

"I have to hurry off, I'm sorry but my lecture today is pretty long and I need to get there early." He explains

"I don't usually trust anyone to watch the dogs as they don't usually like strangers, but as you know theyve met you before and like you so i thought you would be the best...option." He rambles

He sits there as he stares at me for a minute

"Your job?" I remind

"Oh! right! yes!" He jumps up

" thank you (Y/N), I promise I'll play games with you at some point I've just been busy as yo-"

"Your gonna be late"  I laugh as I push him out and shove the door closed.

As he is on his way out the door he looks back, I open the door but keep the screen door closed.

" You don't have to be here all day, just check up on them and take them out a few times a day, the key is on the counter and the money for today is under it for today... Also thank you, your honestly the only one I can trust at least a little bit" he smiles

I roll my eyes, but smile

"Okay ya sap" I joke and wave him goodbye

"See ya" He huffy a laugh as he walks off

Me: Hello, would you be able to pick me up from wills again please

I look up to sleeping dogs and smile, I'm more of a cat person but these dogs are too lovable

my phone vibrates and I look down at it

Hanny: Of course, you told me you were dog sitting?

Me: Ye, I'll be fine so don't worry wills paying me (even though I told him not to)

Hanny: Understood, be safe.

I roll my eyes, a man of few words I tell ya.
