Zaila's pov

   Lani<3: I'm blocking you, don't call me nor text me and don't show up to my house. I don't want anything to do with you. Goodbye Zaila.

  Her message ran through my mind over and over again. I was constantly up at night thinking what I could have possibly done to make her cut me off.

I was in the middle of English class and Lani sat next to me, but she didn't bother to notice my presence. "Lani what did I do please tell me what I did?" I begged the girl during our free time. She just sighed and put her Airpods in her ears and I watched as a message popped up on her phone, 'Carlos.'

When I saw that millions of thoughts ran through my head on what could've happened. Why was she suddenly back together with him? I'm not going to give up on her, I just got her back.

  I've been trying so hard.....it's been 2 months and everyday she wouldn't acknowledge me. I would speak to her and she ignored me. I thought I would have hope of speaking with her whenever she was dropping Alani off at my house to play with Azio, but it always ended up being her mom or dad dropping the child off. Never her.

What am I doing wrong? What did I do wrong? Please someone just give me answers. I miss her so much, her beautiful smile when she tells a corny pun, whenever she was always attached to my side during PE. The way she cuddled into me when we were watching movies, the smell of her cotton candy perfume. The way she would comfort you when you're upset and make sure you never went to sleep sad.

But now.....but now, I'm going to sleep sad and alone. Without her I feel like I just wake up, go to school, come home and go back to sleep. A daily cycle of loneliness. The feeling of not being able to talk to your bestfriend and ask her how her day was it's stressful. I just want to know what I did wrong but she won't even answer my calls.

"Zaila, go get the door! It's Alani!" I shook my head trying to clear the thoughts as my father shouted to me. Opening the door expecting the middle aged Korean woman to be on the other side with the small girl. I was met eye to eye with Leilani, but something was off about her. She wore a long sleeved shirt and sweatpants with sunglasses on, in the middle of spring....in California. It was 87° degrees outside why was she wearing Suh hot clothing?

"Hey Alani! Leilani!" I greeted the two of them and Alani gave me a hug before turning around to hug her sister, but her long ponytail swung and slapped the sunglasses off of Lani's face exposing her. Alani immediately started apologising to her sister while me.....my mouth hung low at the sight that was in front of me.
