chapter 4

Charli and chase ran to their class, it was the second time charli is late!
Charli opened the door quickly. "I'm sorry Mrs. Wilson! I was talking to someone and.. and-"
"Chill. She's not here." Bryce said
"Oh. Why is she late?"
"She's sick" josh answered her.
Chase and charli sat on their chairs and didn't know what to say.
"You're not that bad, you know?" Charli said and looked at him, he smiled. "I mean, you're really nice"
Chase laughed "thank you" charli smiled at him "what do you have for lunch today?" Chase asked her
"I wasn't hungry so I didn't take my sandwich" charli answered and looked down "anyway... what do you have to eat?"
"Are you sure you weren't hungry? You're barely eating" chase was worried
"Yes don't worry about it haha"
"Okay.." chase said. "So what are we doing now?"
"Hmm, I don't know... tell me about your childhood here. I was living here too 9 years ago."
"Well... I had a best friend but she moved out"
"Haha I had a best friend here too and I moved from here," charli said and laughed "what did you do after he left?"
"It wasn't a boy, she was a girl," chase said "and I was really sad when she left... I was really shy those days."
"Hmm but I guess now you're not shy anymore because you had a girlfriend"
"Well yeah but.. she asked me out." Chase said and blushed "but it doesn't matter anymore because we broke up."
Josh tapped on Charli's shoulder.
"You should be careful of this guy."
"Why would I?" Charli asked him.
"Because he only seems nice. He isn't.  He will play with your heart" josh explained and charli looked at chase. "Okay.." charli said and looked confused.

When charli and chase were back home they went upstairs to Charli's room. "So.. what do you want to do?" Charli asked to chase.
"Hmm I don't know.." chase said and looked around. 
"Do you wanna watch a movie?" Charli asked him.
"Yeah, sure!" Chase replied and saw charli picks up the blanket and sits down under it. "Sorry, I'm cold.  If you don't feel comfortable you can sit on the bed."
"No... it's okay" chase said and sat under it. Charli took the tv remote and started searching up for movies on Netflix.  Chase stared at her.
"What?" Charli said when she noticed he's looking at her. "Do I have something on my face" she tried to take off the "thing" she had on her face.
"No..no you're good" he smiled.
"Okay... I found this movie and it seems really interesting... do you want to watch it?"
"Sure"
Chase got very cold and covered his whole body except his head with the blanket. Chase looked under the blanket and saw charli hands are under it too.
"Hey"
"Yes, charli?"
"Can I have a hug? I'm SOOOO cold. IM FREEZING." Chase stared at her "I'm sorry.. is that awkward for you?"
"No, no it is not haha don't worry"
Chase pulled charli closer to him and she put her head on his shoulder. Chase didn't want it to end.

When the movie was over it was 5:30 pm. "I saw you have a lot of jewelry," she said to him.
"Yeah haha I do"
"Want to show each other our jewelry? Like earrings, necklaces, bracelets..?"
Chase nodded and went to his room to bring his jewelry, but he didn't want charli to see the pendant he got from his best friend, he decided to keep it privately. But, to be honest,  he didn't even remember her name.
We he came back to her room she had all of her jewelry on her bed and she smiled when he entered the room. He sat on her bed,  put his jewelry on her bed, and started counting it. "Can I see yours?" Charli asked him and he said yes. Chase looked at Charli's necklaces, they were pretty but then he saw it. It was exactly like his. "Hey, charli?" He asked her.
"Yes?" She replied
"I like this one, where did you get it from?" He swallowed.
"Oh, I have a great story for that one! I brought the same one to my best friend when I moved out. I got him the same one and I told him to keep it so when we will be older I will find him again. To be honest,  I don't think I will find him ever again. He's probably so far away from me."
Oh charli, you're so wrong.
