Chapter 5

(Y/N) Pov:

Akira rushes to my Aid. "(Y/N)! What happened?" He picks me up, leaning me against him. "F-Father.." Akira picks me up, and rushes me upstairs. He places me on the bed."What happened.." Akira wipes my face "you're burning up." He says sadly. I blink."I met a phantom thief tonight..." His eyes widen. "He was gonna have sex with me..but I didn't want to..so he handed me an envelope with a calling card from the phantom thieves..They are gonna steal my fathers heart..Father thought the card was a prank and slapped me really hard..I ran out of the house and here cause I thought that you would save me.." I finish, coughing. Akira stands up, and goes somewhere. He gets a thermometer and places it in my mouth. He turns it on. It beeps, signaling that my temperature has been taken.

"102.7!?" Akira says panicking. He places the thermometer down, and begins undressing me. "W-What are you doing?" He ignores me and finishes taking my dress off. He takes my bra off and then my underwear. I cover myself and he shakes his head."I'm giving you a bath. Maybe that'll help you.." He picks me up and carries me to the bathroom. He places me on a chair, and turns on the water. Once it was a good temperature, he lets the tub fill up with water. He holds out his hand, and I grab it. He helps me in the tub and I relax as he scrubs my hair. He washes my body, and rinses me off. He helps me out of the tub when he finishes, and wraps me up in a towel. He drains the tub, and picks me up. I hear that old man call for Akira. "Why is she here so late?" Akira sighs."Shes running a fever of 102.7. She ran all the way here in a dress and heels with no coat on and in the rain." The old man nods."She's staying here for now. She's sleeping with you though." Akira agrees, and walks upstairs with me in his arms.

He lays me on the bed, and goes to his dresser. He pulls out a shirt and some shorts of his, and lays them on the bed. "Sorry, I don't have any girl clothes..." He says helping me get dressed. Once I was dressed, he dries off my hair, and brushes it. "I can make you some soup or curry if you'd like.." I nod."I-I would like that..." He leaves. I see Mona crawling towards me, and he nuzzles my arm. "Meow?" He says. "Sorry..I don't understand what you're saying.." I pet him, and he begins purring. Akira comes upstairs with a bowl of curry in his hands. He gets some on a spoon, and holds it up to my mouth. I eat it, and I finish the bowl in no time. He smiles and lays me down on his pillow."Now get some rest. I'll give you some medicine in the morning, okay?" Akira says. I nod and begin to fall asleep.

Akira Pov:

I look at her. This is my fault that she got so sick..I told her to give that to her dad. I sigh. I crawl next to (Y/N), and I kiss her cheek. "Good night kitten. I love you." I fall asleep next to her. I wrap my arms around her, pulling her close to me. I dream of her being rescued from her father by me as Joker. I can't help myself, I have to tell her some day..not only that I am Joker, but that I love her. I don't think she'll ever be hurt again if she's with me. I'll protect her from the evil people of this world...I promise to do so. I don't like seeing her like this..hurt and sick.
