One look at the guardians is enough.
"We have to get out of here." I take Dimitri's arm and pull him along with me. Liss, will you please tell me what, exactly, happened? the only answer I get is that she blocks me out. I get nothing. I keep on running, having no idea where I'm going, having no idea what I'm doing.
"Rose? What happened? Please tell me." He keeps saying things like that, it's like he really doesn't know.
"Go in there, I'll be there in a minute." I push him towards an empty looking teahouse. He looks so confused.
I check the surroundings, no guardians, and I walk after Dimitri. He is just standing there helpless, inbetween all the tables. I grab his duster and pull him with me. Behind the teahouse is an empty spot, were no one ever comes. I close the door behind us.
"Rose? What is wrong, I don't understand. Who did it?"
"Well, I don't know, you tell me, comrade." I raise my hand, realise I have no idea what ai'm gonna do and I drop it again. Jut standing there helpless, hopeless and clueless, my nails digging into my own skin, drawing blood without me even noticing.
Why is this happening?
"Dimitri... it was-" I can't even finish the sentence. But my face seems to say enough, even though I'm trying my best to keep my emotions in. He flinches. Opens his mouth to say something, but closes it without a word when he realises no sound is going to come out.
"Who did this? Who would want to kill the queen, and blame you for it?"
I walk towards the wall, place my hands against it and think, or at least, I try to.
Dimitri is still standing there speechless and than kicks the wall. "Woah, comrade relax, we're going to figure this out I promise"
I close my eyes and focus on Lissa, Lissa? I try softly, not wanting her to shut me out again. Rose? Is that you? Something terrible happened, they think it was Dimtri! I send her an image of were we are, she knows the place, because we used to go here to be alone. I'll be there in five minutes Rose. I break contact and look at Dimitri again.
"She is comming." He breaths releaved.
"So, she doesn't beleave I did it?"
"Anyone who would think straight would know it wasn't you, comrade." I take a few steps foward, turn around and walk back. I hate waiting.
Rose? Can you and Dimitri come into the teahouse? She flashes me an image. There's no one here.
"Lissa wants us to come to the teahouse, let's go." He doesn't move.
"Relax, There's no one there." He looks doubtfully.
"Do you trust me? And Lissa?"
"Ofcourse I trust you! ...and Lissa but well-" he sights. And well, being Rose Hathaway, I know exactly what he is thinking, 'cause I would be thinking exactly the same.
"Comrade, you can't do this on your own, you need me, and Lissa and all the help you can get." He nodds and follows me, knowing I'm right.

The dead gueen had seven guardians. Imagine your biggest shock ever, that ten times wors, and you're not even close.
Lissa, or rather, Princess Dragomir is standing behind a table, but I don't recocnize her. Behind her, an army of guardians.
"There he is, like I told you. Now go, get him." I'm paralized with shock, but as the guardians walk around her towards Dimitri, that is over quickly. I step in front of Dimitri, like I can protect him from this.
"Lissa? What the hell is wrong with you?" I yell. Daring a look at her.
"Oh, Rose, you're so blind, it was Obvious. Dimitri killed the queen, don't you get it?" She thinks he actually did it? No, this can't be real, I would know, but I don't cause she is totally keeping all her thought to herself. Queen bitch I imediately mentally slap myself for thinking that...
"You have two options, Belikov, come with us willingly, or we will have to take you the hard way." He sais it like there really isn't a choice. Dimitri starts to say something, but I start talking to cut him off.
"Let's go with option three." I look at the guardian standing right in front of me.
"And what is that, little girl? And who are you anyways, to talk to me?" man, he is arogant. He even winks at me. He doesn't know who I am, funny.
"I'm Rose Hathaway, and option three is that we fight." Now he looks shocked. His mouth opens and closes without a sound.
"Rose, you can't just beat up a few guardians if you odon't agree with them." Lissa's voice tells me she means it.
"Well I can try, Princess" my voice full if anger.
And I intend to try, if it means a chance at saving Dimitri.
"Option three is not an option, Rose, please just let him go. Think straight, he is a murderer." Lissa sends calming things through the bond. But I ignore them.
"Really Liss? After everything he has done for you, saving your ass from getting killed more times than you can count with that pretty head of yours, you just give him up this easy?" I never thought I would have to choose between these two people.
"I just don't want you to get hurt. Realy." and somehow, I think she means that.
"You're concern suits you. Now, get out of the way, I don't want you to get hurt while I'm fighting, like he did so many times to save your ass." I know, adressing the princess' ass is probably gonna get me into trouble, but hey, I wasn't born to stay out of trouble, I'm a Hathaway.
"Which option do you choose Belikov?"
"Give me two minutes to talk to Rose, than I will come, willingly." What is he doing? Is he crazy?
"One minute. No longer." Without waisting time, Dimitri turns me around, away from the guardians. "Rose, you have to let me go, you will figure everything out and get me out, I trust you to do that" his love for me and trust in me is practicly dripping from his words on the ground.
"Dimitri, no!" My voice breaks, what if I fail? what if I can't get him out? "You don't know what they will do to you, what if you have to stay in there forever? What if you-" die? I can't even say the words but I know what they do to people who commit high treason, what the hell, let alone murder the queen...
"Rose, my Roza, I trust you, with my life, and I love you" he kisses my forehead and his hand touches my hair.
"Time is up, Belikov, come with us." He looks bored.
Dimitri wispers three words in my ear, and walks away. Four guardians force him to his knees, and push his arms behind his back. I can't look at this, but I can't look away. Dimitri starts to say something, but someone kicks him to silence him.
I throw myself foward, and four other guardians imedeately step up to keep me away. I try to push them away. Screaming Dimitri's name. The four guardians look at each other and throw me against the wall. My head hits the stones hard, and I fall to the ground. I stumble to get to my feet, but two strong hands hold me down.
"I'll get you out of this, I'll find a way." I say as I see Dimitri looking at me. His brown eyes full of hurt and love for me.
Black spots fly everywere, I feel a soft hand on my cheek, and I know it's Lissa. Happy feelings flash through me, and the pain disapears.
"Get away from me princess, or I might just do something that I definately won't regret"
