Ni Ni's POV

Somewhere, China
" Lei, you better fix this right fucking now," I hear Bo's husky voice booming throughout the house. His angry voice wakes me up from my slumber. I look around the room and nothing registers at all. Am I at the apartment? In Shanghai? In Beijing? I don't know. Ever since the day Ty has left, it like the mind is foggy. I can barely eat... think or sleep. " What do you want me to do Bo? First you complained about me forcing Ty to do things and now you want me to use force to bring her back. This is.....," Lei is about to go on a rant. He's not going to go find Ty? Saying Ty's name makes my stomach clench and my throat dry. I miss her so much that it hurts. I curl up into fetal position on the bed hoping to ease the stomach pain I was feeling. " Don't you start with that bullshit Lei. It is not the same. You need to apologize. You have done nothing but lie to Ty and now she's run off. Ty is not my favorite person... hell she's immature and selfish. But, her absence is affecting the girls. NiNi isn't eating or sleeping and Kevin said Day has been crying in her sleep. You need to get Ty back or.....," and then a moment of silence. I might be in the next room, but I can feel the tension in the air. " Or what?", Lei replies in a mocking tone. I wish he wouldn't do that. One thing I hate about Lei is that he think he's God. He looks down on Bo as if Bo is lesser... in reality Lei is only as strong as he is because of Bo. Bo could whip his ass any day, but his loyalty to the Hai family stops him from doing so. "Or, I am leaving the family," Bo replies wholeheartedly. I grab two pillows from the foot of the bed, I prop one in between my legs and place the other over my face covering my ears because I did not want to hear all hell break loose.
When I finally wake up, its hours later. I see dark orange light spattered across the walls telling me its around sunset. "Hey," I jump up at the sound of the voice... it was so close to me. "Sorry for startling you, I was just waiting for you to wake up," Bo states in an apologetic tone. I just nod my head. That seems like the only thing I can do now a days. "NiNi, I have a meeting in an hour and I need you to come with me. There's already an outfit waiting for you in the bathroom. I don't want to sound bossy, but this meeting is extremely important if you wear makeup please keep it to a minimal," again I nod my head to his request. "Okay, we are leave in 30 minutes, so I'll leave you to it," Bo say as he closes the bedroom door. My body is on auto drive for the next 20 minutes, I shower, lotion and put on the clothes laid out for me. I didn't come around to it until I was staring at my reflection in the mirror as I was putting on makeup. I notice that I was wearing a plum colored, long sleeve dress turtle dress. The dress stop about mid calf and it skimmed over my curves. Between the style of the dress and that it wasn't tight, I concluded that this meeting was probably going to include conservative people. I decided to pull my braids in a low bun and only used applied a thin layer of lip gloss. Now, its go time.
" Are you sure about this Bo?," a thin, tall man with white wispy hair named Elder Zhang inquires while staring directly at us in the eyes. " Yes," Bo replies before Elder Zhang can even finish his question. " One thing that I am worried about though," a short plump man name Elder Wong cuts into the conversation while looking down at us. " Why are you going behind Lei's back about the Xuanyan? Even with the elder's blessing, if he should find out unless Lei has every right to dissolve it. Unless......" Elder Wong looks at me with a twinkle in his eye. " I understand what I have to do, so will you give us your blessing?," Bo's frantic tone catches me off guard. Why is he so nervous. Both Elder Wong and Zhang sighs. Its a sign of defeat. " We will perform it, but we a witness from the girl's family to say that they approve of our blessing," Elder Zhang states. At that very moment, a cool draft enters the room as a door opens then close. " I am her witness," hold the fuck up. Ke'on?????? My cousin. NiNi, now isn't the time to ask questions. Bo grabs both of my hands in front of the Elders and stare at me in my eyes. " The Xuanyan is a union between....," Elder Zhang's voice. After about ten minutes, the ceremony is over but before we depart Elder Wong gives each of us a half of a jade stone. Our two halves made a whole. As soon as we get outside, my questions begin to itch at the tip of my tongue. " NiNi, I know what you want to know. The only ways we can avoid Lei dissolving the Xuanyan is if I leave the Hai family or you carry my child," Bo states in a calm manner. Momentarily, everything goes black and when I get around to it Ke'on is standing in front of me and there is floating black dots in my vision. What the fuck just happen? "Listen, NiNi now ain't the time to be fainting. You wanted to be with Jackie Chan now you got it. Ain't no backing down now.... especially now. You have to go through with this," my cousin looking me dead in the eyes and I feel myself shiver under his cold glare. His killer stare. His soldier stare. I wonder if his cold stare was something a man seen last before his life was snuffed away. This stare tells me Ke'on means business . " The boss is planning on making an overseas trip to come get you in February, he plans on taking you by force and marrying you in New York. So, this Xuanyan needs to stand and this visit to Jackie Chan oldheads has to stay between us until it becomes finalized. Do you hear me?, " Ke'on authoritative tone takes over. Baby? Force? Bo? Where's Ty? These were the last thoughts that swim through my mind before it shuts down and it goes into a delirious headspace where no one exist except for me.
