"Damon" Elena called out, as she entered the Salvatore household.
She pressed down her blue fluttery dress down with her palms, before she got a message from Stefan to hurry up.
Stefan and Elena had come to terms with each other and were quite good friends surprisingly.
"Elena" Damon greeted, pressing his lips against hers as she placed her hands on his broad shoulders to steady herself.
"Ready?" Damon asked gently, after they pulled away.
"Ready as I'll ever be" she pressed her lips together forming a thin line.
"Look Stefan will be there too, and Caroline's been your friend since forever." Damon chastised, rubbing her back.
"I know Damon, it's just I love care so much. She can be a control freak though, so we better not mess up anything" Elena narrowed her eyes playfully at him before cracking a smile.they both hopped into Damon's car.

Caroline ran a hand through her hair, she was panicking. Her mom had ditched her last minute so she was alone planning a small event at their house. Bonnie couldn't make it to help, and her last choices were Elena, Damon and Stefan.
Neither of them had turned up yet, they probably forgot about her. She thought to herself, being a vampire did help her get stuff for the party quickly but she and it did turn around her whole attitude.
In the end though, her own boyfriend Matt Tyler want talking to her, they were in a middle of a fight and he didn't seem to care much about her.
The sound of the doorbell made her jump slightly, running over to the door she was greeted by the sight of Stefan with balloons, trays of food stacked neatly and fresh flowers.
"The flowers are for you and the balloons and food are for—well the party" he smiled at her, his smile soon fell once he saw no reaction from her.
She was so grateful and surprised that Stefan cared about her, she flung herself at him.Wrapping her arms around his neck,it took him a second before he wrapped his arms around her waist firmly.
Both of them lost in each other's presence, there had been tension between them before.they both knew it but decided to ignore it, neither wanting to lose the other at any cost. Before they could say anything a voice cleared from behind them.
"If your done hugging, maybe we can help set up" Damon raised his eyebrows, while Elena who's arms were entwined around Damon's right laughed lightly.
"Yes, Uh Elena can you help me upstairs. Damon and Stefan you guys can set everything up" Caroline ordered, making her way upstairs.
Elena pulled Damon's lips against hers, before making her way over to Caroline.
"So Care" Elena started.
"Look I don't want to talk about anything right now" Care pushed, picking up a box and walking it down.
After what seemed like forever the four of them had finished.
"Now hopefully everything can go to plan without any particular person interrupting" Stefan said in a low monotone.
"Elena and I will be off then. I have to talk to Liz about something and Elena and Jeremy have important discussions to do" Damon smirked at them before he and Elena bid them farewell.
"Your really okay, with Damon and Elena" Caroline whispered, half hoping Stefan wouldn't hear.
"There's nothing I can do about it and I have you" Stefan smiled ear to ear.
She walked over and hugged him, while whispering against his chest " your so you"
He pressed his lips against her head. They'd talk about them later, he needed to get over Elena first.
Rebound was not an option since he already felt himself falling for Caroline, without him knowing.
