Elena ran through the woods, the wind in her hair and the sound of a werewolf's cry creeping nearer and nearer.
She stopped near a tree to catch her breath. She shouldn't have come on this trip, It was all Damon's fault. He didn't know when to stop, hence she was running from a werewolf who could bite her to end her life.
She had to turn back to go to the cabin, but she couldn't picking up her pace she started running again. she could hear something move behind her, she felt numb and let out a shriek.
"Elena"
His voice was familiar of course it was. It belonged to her hundred year old vampire boyfriend.
"Damon" She turned around to face him.
He grabbed a hold of her hand as she fought his grip, he pulled her closers to him as commanded her to not move in a dangerously low voice.
"There's a werewolf" she managed to spit out.
"I know I invited it for a cup of tea, when I came out looking for you" he mused, as she shot him a dirty look.
"Let go of me"
"No" He raised his eyebrows which shut her up completely.
They both vamp speeded back to the cabin they were staying and knocked on the door. Caroline engulfed Elena in a hug before looking at her worriedly. Stefan who was right behind Caroline shot his brother an unamused look.
"Come in, It's about to rain" Caroline ushered them in.
"Now Elena that was very reckless of you to run out like that" Stefan stated, looking intently at the brunette who nodded.
"Thank you Stefan for caring about my safety" She smiled at him, before pointedly looking at Damon.
"Wha―
"Damon shut it" Caroline cut in before they couple could argue again.
"Now why don't we do something all of us together" Caroline suggested taking a seat next to Stefan.
"Like not getting chased by a werewolf right? Cause I don't think Elena could manage" Damon smirked, as Elena wrapped her arms around her chest.
"Damon" Stefan warned.
"I'm just sayin―
"Damon Stop it. You're the one that's going to be crying about how she left you if you keeping insulting her" Caroline exclaimed, anger evident in her voice.
"Barbie we're talking about me not you" He retorted, raising his voice. "Why wouldn't you cry after all the breakups"
"Don't you dare start on her" Stefan shouted at Damon over the sound of heavy rain.
"Uh huh, says the guy who was so in love with a girl who was in love with his brother. Wait wasn't that twice?" Caroline feigned confusion, smirking as Stefan had a faint smile.
"You-
"Enough!" Elena shouted at all of them.
"Don't start bringing up each other's flaws right now" She ordered. "You know Damon, I was really happy before you ruined my mood. Right now I do prefer the werewolf then to talk to you" She had tears in her eyes before going up to her room.
"El-
"No, give her some time" Stefan ordered as Damon fell onto the couch looking defeated.
After Caroline had checked on Elena she stepped out of the room to bump into Damon. Giving him a dirty look she tried to walk away but he kept a firm grip on her.
"Care bear, I'm sorry that was very low of me" Damon mumbled.
"I know, I'm sorry for bringing that up as well" She placed her hand on his shoulder and wrapped him in a hug.
"Aww Damon's being soft" Stefan mocked from a distance, with a smile painted on his face.
"Yeah with your girl" Damon smirked.
