As soon as I see the woman I begin to channel my eldritch blast, the two swordsman dont seem to react quite as quick and the ghostly woman gets within touching range of one of them. Her hand reaching out and seems to claw at the man. He gasps in pain and a sword swings at the woman from his partner. I let my magic loose and the woman screeches in pain.
"By my grace, burn away oh detestable creature."
As soon as verica finishes her chant, blueish white flames erupt under the purple wispy form of the woman. Her screech gets louder and I watch her eyes narrow at her new target.
"Verica! Move."
I shove her to the ground and shoot off a second bolt of eldritch energy that blows a hole straight through the woman's chest. Her hand is thrown out to where our cleric used to stand and a dark energy seems to sizzle but miss anyone. Her purple glow and ghostly wispy nature seem to fade into nothing.
Axe grabs me by my robes and pushes me up against the closest wall. Lifting me off the ground. My hand immediately goes to hold one of his wrists.
"Why the hell did you do that! Throwing her to the ground. You probably..."
Verica grabs his other wrist and speaks in a low calm voice.
"Axe. He saved me from getting hit by that things last... flailing attack. If you were more observant you would have seen it. Let him go before he blows your arm apiece."
He looks her down and his partner pats him on the shoulder. His eyes then move to my hand on his wrist. He drops me and I dust my robes off with a sigh.
"Look... axe why would I hurt you three. Im not very... physically adept if you haven't noticed."
He gives me a look down and verica takes my arm. Walking me to a door in the room away from the two swordsman, who begin a conversation about what happened.
"What are you."
I give her a look of confusion.
"Thats not arcane magic... you've saved me twice now so I have a little trust in you but.. I need to know."
With a sigh I start a small tale.
