I awkwardly walked up to my large group of friends. They all chatted obliviously while I was having hyperventilations. I coughed to get their attention and about half of them turned to see me, which is good enough I suppose.
"I have something I want to tell everyone." Now they all looked at me, and the force of a thousand bricks weighed on my chest. I called over my new girlfriend, Helena.
"This is my...well...girlfriend." They all stared at me for a second.
"So you're gay?" Cici blunty said.
"No I like boys...and girls" I look at the floor with a red face.
"Oh it's okay you're just confused!" Says i girl I didn't know. Oddly enough, this filler me with rage.
"Excuse me?" I growl under my breath. Everyone looks at her and someone giggles.
"Do you like cake?"
"...yeah"
"Do YOU LIKE ICE CREAM?"
"...yeah"
"ITS FINE YOURE JUST CONFUSED!" I grabbed Helenas arm and marched off. What a vile girl. I'm not confused! She doesn't know what it's like! I just worked up my courage to say that, and her response was THAT?
Helena softly tugged at my arm.
"Are you okay?" I look at her and calm down. Oh yeah. I think I might have scared her.
"I'm fine," I grin and hug her.
"Let's hold hands to class," she grins. I grin back, and grab her hand and squeeze it. She was so beautiful and kind. I'm lucky a girl like her liked girls. Or me for that matter. We hold hands to class and I smile the whole way there.
