For the last time, I am not confused. Quit saying I am. I chose. It's what it is.
Oh it's the reader. The reader is here to listen. Well, you, I suppose you want a story, so I'll give you mine. At least up to here. Then I'll just talk and walk I guess.
It all began when I was sixteen. Huh, maybe I won't get to here after all. Anyways, I had officially decided at 11. But this day, this would be the day I would finally come out. I just knew it.
OCTOBER 2014
I walk into band. My best friend was a senior, she is beautiful. Her name is Sally. She is pansexual. I only found out what that even meant last year when I asked, and frankly, the way she described it, I might be to. Our other bestie was Sue. She was gay. She wasn't nearly as tall as Sally. But she was adorable.
Other than them, I had another close friend who graduated last year. We miss her. She was straight, and was shocked when I told her my sexuality. I've only told these three people. The first time I tried to tell someone, she hated me afterwords. But these people understood, like I wasn't some abomination. And if I was, we all were.
I met these three in marching band. I, Meredith, played saxophone. The other two still with me were in guard. Now thinking back at it, those were the best days of my life, and maybe the nicest people I met. We aren't as close as we use to be.
But this is about the day I finally told everyone about my girlfriend. And no one could bring me down...right?
