Reader's POV:
I was swimming around Mako Island when I noticed an underwater cave. Not knowing where it lead to, I decided to explore it. It lead me into a dormant volcano. Actually it is very beautiful. Quickly I get out of the water and look at the volcanic rock. As I continue to look around, I heard something coming in from the water. Turning around all I see is a fish tail and a girl. As soon as she popped up, she was startled and so was I. The girl was a mermaid. Who is she?
"What are you doing?" She said a bit angrily.
"Hi. I'm (Y/N) (L/N)." I say trying to be polite.
She sighed before smiling kindly. I watch her as she starts to climb out of the pool before I decided to help her. Wow she is strong and heavy with the tail.
"If you don't mind me asking but who are you?" I ask the brunette.
"Cleo Sertori." She said sweetly as she starts to dry off.
After a while her tail disappeared, and she had legs and clothes on. Who is she? How? Why? This makes no sense. How can she be human and a mermaid at the same time? As I continue to think, she taps my shoulder causing me to snap out of it. I looked into her hazel-green eyes and sighed.
"I have so many questions. Like first off How are you human? And Next, How are you a mermaid? I don't understand." I blurt out.
Cleo looks at me before explaining everything. Basically the full moon and this moon pool as she calls it turned her into a mermaid. That's so cool. So whenever she touches water, Cleo becomes a mermaid. I tell her that's cool and I promised her I would not tell her secret at all. Which she appreciates.
We talked for a while before I had to leave since I don't want to be late for dinner with my folks. I say goodbye to Cleo and then left after she said bye. H2O equals becoming a mermaid was the last thought as I head home.
