May has lived in the same mansion since she was two weeks old, and still does. In the current time we are in, she is seven.

“Hey Momma!” May said with excitement as she saw her mother for the first time that morning. “Morning Dear.” Viviane had just woken up and was in no mood to chat, she needed her coffee. “Already made for you!! Have a good day Momma!” “I’m sure I will May!”, Viviane was regretting to inform May the news that her second grade teacher Ms. Theadore had gotten breast cancer.

On May’s way to school, the whole bus seemed to be bursting with bliss. She has no worries. “Today is a good day.” She said in her head knowing that she would get a sticker on her test and be more than happy to see Ms. Theadore.

When May got to her class, she saw that Ms. Theadore was pulling different kids outside of the classroom to tell them something, all of the kids seemed happy so she was quite excited when she got pulled aside. “Maybe I did better than the third graders on the test and this is her telling me I need to skip a grade!!” May thought in her head.

“May, do you know why I pulled you aside?” Ms. Theadore had a worried and shaky tone in her voice, almost like she was going to cry. “Yes, I do actually. My aunt Deena is a Breast cancer survivor. Or are you talking about the zodiac sign? I am a Taurus, and I personally don’t get along with Cancer’s, Sorry if you are a Cancer though!” Ms. Theadore took a pause, looked at May and chucked while holding back tears. “It’s okay Ms. Theadore,  you don’t need to cry, I’m here. I’m willing to help.” May wiped away Ms. Theadore’s tears and asked “Why do you ask”. Ms. Theadore struggles to tell poor innocent May why she was crying. “May- I- I have breast cancer. It’s untreatable and decently common in females. I do not know what I am going to do yet, but I have your mother in contact so she can help.”.

May instantly gives Ms. Theadore a hug, she then runs down the hall and to the principal's office where she was handed a letter from the art and music teacher that asked May to be in the new school concert. May said, “No thank you. I have cancer I need to deal with.”. The music teacher explained that seeing May in the concert might take bother her, and Ms. Theadore’s mind off of the cancer. She then accepted and practiced the concert for two months.

                     TWO MONTHS LATER
With May knowing how cancer worked, she knew she had to perform her best for everyone, especially Ms. Theadore, her biggest fan.

With May rehearsing for her last time in the music room, Ms. Theadore wrote May a note about how proud she is of her.

                                        AFTER THE CONCERT
“You did amazing!!”. Ms. Theadore was so proud of May that she felt a small pain in her heart. “Thank you so much for coming. I know with family and work, you must have had to push a lot of stuff around just to watch!!”. “Here you go May, I wrote this for you.”. “Thanks!!” Ms. Theadore then went to the other kids to tell them a good job while May went to find her parents.

“Did you see me? Did you see what I did??” May was so proud of herself that she couldn’t handle it. “WE SAW YOU AND WE LOVED IT!!!!”. May’s parents showed so much excitement that her heart felt warm.
