DURING Greenhouse Three, Adeline watches with distaste as Draco looks to Potter with annoyance but toward Hermione Granger with a slight impressed tilt to his frown as she handles the Mandrake with ease.
She turns her nose up from the situation, wincing slightly as the Longbottom kid passes out at the irate screams of the roots.
Adeline finds herself frowning for the rest of the lesson, despite it becoming one of her favourite classes already. It's too bad it had been spoiled by stupid Gryffindors.
"Perhaps you should do something about it, then."
Adeline's pulse picks up once again, as it always does at the return of that voice. She'd been hearing it since that day at the bookstore.
It never left her alone, not when she was in a foul mood at least. She'd hoped they'd leave by now, but so far ignoring her problems are only seeming to worsen them.
WHEN Colin Creevey gets starstruck by Harry Potter, Adeline hears all about it from Draco. He's annoyed and ranting once again about the boy who shouldn't have lived. She knows Draco doesn't take rejection well, but she's beginning to think there may be something more going on here.
Adeline ignores it, though. Commenting mildly about focusing on more interesting things and not getting so caught up in the actions of others. Instead, she readies herself for Lockhart's lessons which she is silently dreading.
She detests the man and doesn't like how tight his pants always are. And as it turns out, his lesson is a nightmare.
He releases cornish pixies onto the class and disappears before fixing the problem. Adeline grows bored quickly, exiting swiftly before anyone notices.
