{Hey guys. Welcome to the spin off of COH and/or ADWTD. I hope you enjoy.}

        Xzavier's POV:

The annoying chirp of my alarm clock informs me that it's time for me to wake up and go to the hell-hole known as school.

As usual, my window flies open and my best friend Clover climbs through it, her blonde hair a mess of curls. "Morning, Zav," she greets in that perky voice of hers. Once on the ground, she jumps on me and gives me a big hug. "Time to wake up! Don't want to be late on the first day of school."

"Stop being my mother," I mumble sleepily and push Clove off of me, pulling the blankets over my head. Bad idea, because a second later, they covers are laying on the ground, leaving my nearly nude body exposed to the morning cold. "Clover!"

Clover giggles and hands me the clothes that sat on top of my dresser, ready for me when I woke up. Grabbing the clothes with a glare, I push my way past my friend and trudge into the bathroom, getting dressed quickly. Once in clean clothes, I walk downstairs with Clover on my tail.

"Happy first day of school!" My mum greets with a giant smile, a spatula dripping with batter in her hands. "I made pancakes, kids."

I roll my eyes and take a seat at the table, my head in my arms. "We aren't kids anymore, Mum," I tell her patiently, but I'm already in no mood to talking with my mum.

After moving to the States with my father, my family and I decided to permanently stay here in Sacramento, making me leave all my friends back home. Sure, I've been here for a year now, and I have new friends, but I'm still considered the 'new kid' and am teased because of my accent and for being gay. Clover and her boyfriend Christian were the first people to come up to me without teasing, telling me that I looked like I needed a friend, which I truly did.

One year later, Clove, Christian and I are all best friends. "Clover, love, would you like some too?" My mother asks with a sweet smile.

Clover nods her head, hungrily eyeing the stack of hotcakes sitting on a plate next to the stove. The petite blonde stands on her tip-toes to grab two plates for us and places three hotcakes on each.

With a dab of butter and some syrup, we dig into them, moaning at the taste. "God, these pancakes are perfection," Clover says with her mouthful of the delicious cakes. "I want to marry them."

"That would mean you can't marry Chris," I point out with my mouth equally as full. "And I don't know anyone who would go to your wedding to see you marry food." Clover tilts her head side to side, contemplating marrying her boyfriend or my mothers cooking.

"You know, Christian is kinda a real person... But he's a butt who is obsessed with his hair. So yeah, I'm marrying these pancakes." Clove happily dives back into the food, finishing the last one in less than a minute. For being so little, she can eat like a man.

Once I'm done, we rinse our plates off and go back upstairs to brush our teeth. A car horn blares, signaling us that Christian is here to pick us up. Clover pulls me from the safety of my room and outside, calling goodbye to my mum.

There, in his red Hummer, is Clover's boyfriend and my best friend Christian, and sitting in the back is the brown haired, unbelievably sexy Mason Tomkins. "What is he doing here?" I ask Clover softly as we make our way to the car.

Clove shrugs. "Don't know. I know Mason and Christian were talking a little bit this summer, but I don't know the rest." My best friend grabs my hand and pulls me along, grinning happily at Mason and Chris. "Good morning, baby."

The blonde haired girl jumps into the front and places a kiss on her boyfriends cheek, smiling at Chris with love.

Seeing that Clover took the front seat, the only other seat left is the one in the back next to Mason. With a tiny sigh, I climb into the back and press my self close to the door, not wanting to be that close to the sexy brunette.

I give Mason sideways glances as we ride to school but he couldn't give less of a shit, his face bored as he talks with Clover and Christian. When I try to say something, Mason talks over me as if I'm not even there.

"So, Xzavier," Clover says with a slight frown. "Are you excited for this year?"

I roll my eyes and lean my head against the window. "Please," I scoff. "I'm anything but. Seriously, fuck school. Why, are yo-"

"Which classes are you guys in?" Mason cuts me off with a bored glance my way, irritation and something else flashing through his eyes. "Did you two pick the same classes." The two rather than three didn't go unnoticed by anyone, and finally, Clover turns around with that best friend crazy look in her eyes.

"What the fuck if your problem, Mason?" She asks angrily, gesturing to me. "He hasn't done anything nor has he said a single word to you! So what the hell is your issue?"

The brunette glances at me then back to Clove, ruffling a hand through his perfectly messy hair. "I don't have a problem at all, he's just annoying."

Not daring to say a word, I shrink down in my seat more, praying I magically turn invisible. This is why I don't make new friends, everyone is so quick to judge before even getting to know me. The red-faced Clover glares harshly at Mason, and if looks could kill, boy would Mason be six feet under. "How the fuck is he annoying! He hasn't said a goddamn word!"

Christian nervously glances at his girlfriend, but doesn't say anything. Once you get Clover started, you can't get her to stop until it's all out of her system. Mason rolls his eyes and leans his head back, eyes closed and hands crossed over them. "His presence is annoying enough,"

Let this car ride be over. Please let this car ride be over, I think over and over, nearly flinging myself from the car when Chris pulls into the parking lot. "Thanks for the ride, Chris," I say with a smile, running away from the car with a wave to my friends.

I hear Clover calling my name, but I pretend I don't and quickly scurry into the school, praying my first day is better.
