{Hiiii!!! Double update :3 Vote and comment!}
Xzavier's POV:
I watch Mason sleep in the least creepiest way possible. He seems so... Distraught. It hurts to see him so upset.
My hand strokes his hair silently, curling into the brown locks and releasing, enjoying the silkyness of it.
Mason's just a broken boy hiding behind a mask of hatred. Something in his past has affected him, something horrible, and though I don't know what it is, I'm hoping that Mason will just open up and tell me.
But I have a feeling he won't. That slim moment when he was being so cute and sweet and nice he seemed... Human. He wasn't an asshole, he wasn't being a dick, he was just so nice.
And he said he loves me.
Now, I know that in a relationship, one time or another you are going to say the L word, but to say it so soon, and to someone like Mason... It's odd. But the even more shocking part is that he said it back.
I would never think that I would ever hear Mason utter those words, crying them or not, but he did. And they were said to me, of all people.
"'Zavier?" Mason mumbled sleepily, his eyes not open yet.
It takes me a minute to realize he's still asleep. Is he dreaming? Is he dreaming... About me?
He lets out a whimper, screwing his eyes shut tightly. "D-don't..."
My eyes widen slightly, and I shake him a bit. "Mason? Mason, wake up."
"A-A... Ash..." he mumbles, his entire body tensing. "Don't hit me, Ash!" He suddenly screams, his body flailing.
Ash? "Mason, wake up!" I yell, shaking him a bit more roughly. "It's just a dream, wake up!"
His eyes pop open, and he looks around frantically before he seems to zero in on me. He shrinks back for a moment, before relaxing. He closes his eyes, looking exhausted. "Sorry," he mumbles.
"It's fine," I tell him softly, stroking his hair gently. "Are you okay?"
He nods, twining his shaky hand with my free one. "Xzavier...?" He asks nervously.
"Hm?" I ask, rubbing tiny circles on the back of his hand.
"Can... Can you spend the night?"
I nod, smiling softly. "Of course."
He smiles back faintly. "Thanks," he whispers. "Do you want to do something?"
"Sure, what do you want to do?" I ask softly, placing a hesitant kiss on his forehead.
He tenses, but then relaxes. "We can... Um... I would ask if you're hungry, but, uh..." He frowns. "What do you want to do?"
"How about we go out to eat?" I ask, taking my wallet out with a smile. "My treat."
"Are you sure?" He asks. "I can pay..."
I giggle, kissing his nose. "Hush, you. My treat. Come on," I stand from the couch, bouncing up and down a bit as I hold out my hand for him.
He hesitates before taking it, his body trembling slightly. "Y-you're really nice," he says cautiously.
"Why, thank you!" I giggle a bit, tugging him out the door with a wide smile. "I strive to be nice. I can be an ass sometimes buuut... I try to be nice."
"You aren't, uh, acting or anything, right?" He asks, looking genuinely afraid.
I can't help but let out a little laugh. "Why would I be acting? If I want to be an asshole, I'll be an asshole. But I don't like seeing people hurt, 'cause then it hurts me."
He leans against me. "I don't know what happened earlier," he says quietly, stepping into the car. "I felt... Different."
"I liked it," I answer honestly as I also step into the car. I truly did, it was so nice to see Mason all happy and bubbly. "It was funny seeing you act like that, but I liked it."
"It felt like before," he whispers, not looking like he wanted me to hear.
I start the car, and drive to the nearest restaurant, bouncing out of the car. "Come on!" I whine.
He chuckles softly, getting out of the car and following me. I grab his hand and pull him into the establishment, smiling widely at him. He follows me silently to a booth, crawling in and looking at me with an emotionless expression.
"Smile!" I whine, poking his face. "Pwease?"
He hesitates for a moment, before giving me a shy smile, looking down at the table. I grin at him, taking his hands in mine. "You look so cute when you smile," I say, rather shyly, giving him a tiny kiss to his cheek. He blushes slightly, burying his face in his hands and shaking his head. "Yes you are!" I reach over and poke his sides. "Knock it off!"
He giggles a little louder, and when he looks at me, I can see the same playfulness in his eyes from earlier. I laugh as well, hopping to his side and poking him again, lightly tickling him. "You need to lighten up, mister!"
He lets out a series of giggles, trying to squirm away from me, but I keep at it, tickling his sides and neck, laughing the whole time while also kissing him. He tries jumping out of the booth, but trips, landing on my lap. He giggles some more, burying his face in my chest.
I kiss his temple, holding his against me tightly even if I'm smaller than him, a wide smile still stretched across my face.
This boy I'm holding is my boyfriend, and I know that I love him so much.
