Chapter 1:

He deep brown eyes seemed to gaze through me. Her long light brown hair Hung loosely around her shoulders. My heart beat in my chest as I moved in closer. Never in my life did I ever think I would be this way around a girl. Something about her made me nervous, gave me butterflies. With her the tough guy act vanished, I had never showed her that side. Instead I was like mush in her hands. She got sad I would get sad I felt the need to always be there for her. I felt the need to help her she changed me. The only problem I had was, we were just friends. She was my best friend and I was helplessly in love with her. Plus she had a girlfriend she didnt need me,but I was happy. Her being happy made me happy.

"Nico?" Her sweet voice snapped me out of my thoughts, she laughed lightly "are you gunna help me out or what?"

"Y-yah. Of course." I grabbed the necklace my hands shaking as I got closer to her. Gently I pulled the necklace around her neck and clasped it. She looked in the mirror smiling.

"I love it! thank you so much" she gave me a hug and pulled away admiring the batman necklace once again. I found my self admiring her perfect smile, "nico? Dude you all right?" I nodded my head again running my hands together.

"Ready to go?" Her eyes lit up and she nodded.

"How do I look?" I took in her outfit. She was wearing a white sleeping with sirens shirt and black ripped jeans. She looked amazing.

"Gorgeous Ariana" I smiled watching her as she walked away, "Jenny meeting us there?"

"Yeah! And Kelsey should be here soon!" Jenny was a close friend of arianas, lets not forget she had a thing for her. Kelsey was Ariana's girlfriend.

"Good so ill be the only dude?" I asked unimpressed. I heard her giggle as she appeared around the corner again.

"Wouldn't most guys be jumping for joy?" She laughed once again. Her laugh make my heart skip a beat, "plus won't Victoria be there?" I nodded. Victoria was a girl i recently started dating she was sweet and pretty but no matter how hard I tried my feelings for Ariana never faded. Kelsey arrived and we all squished into my small car and drove off. It was Ariana's birthday and I had bought her two tickets to go see sleeping with sirens. Soon after finding out the others of our group of friends jumped on the opportunity to go as well ruining my hopes to go alone with her. The whole ride I had to listen to Kelsey Ariana and Victoria giggle and swoon over the boys in the band.

"This is gunna be so fucking awesome!" Ariana squealed. Victoria looked at her slightly upset. Victoria wasn't one for swearing. I pulled up outside the venue and got out. The girls an ahead in search for Jenny. I walked behind watching as excited girls and the odd guy crowded into the small pub. The girls pushed through the crowd to the front of the stage. I spotted Jenny waving and smiling at us as we stood beside her.

"How the hell did you get so close?" Kelsey questioned wide eyed.

"I got here really really early." Jenny yelled over the loud crowd. The lights faded and everyone went insane. Ariana's face lit up as the band came on stage. A smile formed on her face from ear to ear. I watched her throughout the concert. This was the times she was the happiest standing here squished against a bunch of other people music blaring. The screaming and pushing just to get closer just to touch the band members hands. She loved this she loved music. I loved seeing her this happy, she deserved this all the time. Every minute of every day she deserved to be happy.

The concert ended and the venues cleared out.

"Nico?" I heard a familiar voice call out in the quickly emptying crowd. I spun around looking for the voices owner. Standing a few feet away was a tall girl with light brown hair.

"Katelynn? Is that you?" I asked wide eyed a smile forming on my face. Katelynn was a close friend of mine for years before she married some guy and ran off. I glanced behind me to see the girls waiting in line to buy shirts.

"Shit it is you! It's been so long nico!"

"Last I remember of you you got married to some dude and ran off." I chuckled. She let out a lough and nodded.

"I have a baby too." She smiled she genuinely looked happy, "you a fan of sleeping with sirens?" She questioned,

"Actually I bought my friend some tickets she's a huge fan." Katleynn followed my gaze towards Ariana and the others.

"That's the girl you told me about?" I nodded my head. I had told her all about my feelings for Ariana a while ago. Trying to get off the topic of Ariana I smiled.

"Your husband here?"

"Yeah he's actually right..." She looked around briefly before calling out to a man. He walked over to us a huge smile on his face. He had tattoos along his arms and longish hair, "nico this is my husband kellin. Kellin this is nico he's a good friend."

"Pleasure to meet you." I smiled holding out my hand oblivious to the nagging feeling that I should know this guy.

"You too man I've heard a lot about you." He laughed wrapping a arm around katelynn. Before I had a chance to answer I heard a squeal from behind me. I turned to see Ariana and the others walking towards me excitedly.

"Ariana this is my friend katelynn and her husband-"

"Kellin. Kellin quinn I know." She smiled wide eyed at him. He laughed and held his hand out.

"Wanna picture?" Ariana nodded speechless. The took a quick picture and she looked at me.

"Did you say katelynn was a friend?" I nodded smiling. She gave me a tight hug, "you just get better and better my friend." I hugged her back not wanting this embrace to end. The rest of the night was spent with kellin, katelynn and the others of the band. Multiple times Ariana looked at me smiling mouthing a thank you and that this was the best night of her life. Seeing her this happy made it one of mine.
