Another, amazing, Peaceful day at Camp Half-blood.
Oh wait!! What's that? Could it be...a monster?
.....
Yeah right.
In typical situations in the 'normal' world, either they would have ran and screamed, or they would just stand and stare and wonder what the hell is happening right now.
Latter is our reaction.I mean, I wouldn't say that we werent panicking (internally), but I would be lying if I said that camp wasn't calm. We have these situations Every. Effing. Day.
'Cept this was different.
Distant yells, slightly muffled, rang out and echoed through the woods, as a considerably, monster-sized vehicle approached our salvage. It was getting closer and closer by the second, which meant it was big and fast.
For some reason, it gleamed/glinted in the hot sun, giving the conclusion taht it was indeed a colourful vehicle rather than a very shiny monster not yet known to demigods.
Suddenly, the ground started to tremor, and the rest of the campers got to their feet, decked with armor, as they struggled to stay upright. The various cabins shook as well, but there was no sign of potential damage to be done. The ground just shook. Just like that. No affecting buildings; only helpless campers.
And that was when it happened. When the 'monster vehicle' stormed into our base. And lemme tell you, I was disappointed.
It was a freaking dark blue minivan, unlike our strawberry delivery truck,
which was tattooed with demonish and crazy designs in colourful spray paint (the minivan was tattooed). And a boy, it was not yet clear of his features, of a strong build, was holding on to the handlebar like his life depended on it.Just then, it drove into a big oak and stayed there. But the boy, didn't. Like as if he was thrown off a catapult, he was launched by the sudden stop straight into the river, probably never to be seen again.
We all paused, pretty much terrified at this point, but curious too. Several campers loomed nearer and nearer to the river, including me, and waited to see if the boy would resurface.
A couple seconds of impatient waiting later, a few bubbles rose on top, and a head burst from the water, gasping for air. This time, it was my turn to gasp. And whole of camp too.
$$$$$$
A boy, practically my age, with....orange hair?? Like super bright orange, not the ginger type. It looked authentic, yet we could make out taht it was dyed. He also had silver eyes. Like as if his irises were made of molten silver. Overall, he was fvcking HOT. He looked pissed tho.
He slowly swam to the bank with a bunch of giggling nyaids staring his ass from underwater, and got out of the river.
He had on a dark-colored t-shirt, ultamarine I think, and a maroon and black checked jacket that had once been red, and light grey Jean's that had turned to a ash-colored grey. The water, had darkened his clothes, but also made it stick to his skin, resulting in a very convenient show of his well-defined abs. Even as a taken woman, imma just crush on them for a while. It was like as if he was dragging the river with him; that was how much water he had on him.
From the direction of the big oak, we heard the sound of a door closing, and our heads turned to it at the right moment. Another girl about my age and a taller boy who was obviously other than both of us, got out, with Grover trailing by their side, looking both proud and terrified.
Lemme describe them to you, strating with the boy; The boy was probably 19, with messy dark brown hair, a pale yet handsome face, rectangular glasses, and green eyes. He had on a casual red hoodie and black Levi's.
The girl had bright blue hair that went to her shoulders, and light coloured eyes that were a mix between blue and grey.
