You tuned out the subtle cars passing by outside your cheap apartment, and tried to tune in on your studies. You were inrolled at NYU and are attempting to get a degree in Biology to help get into a fantastic med school. There is a deadline for a assignment at the end of the week. It was a two-page essay on the development of the human brain, and what can factor into adolescence making a person the way they are.

You fight the urge to throw the textbooks out the window from your intrusive and procrastinating thoughts. You leaned back in your seat and begin rubbing your temples to cool your nerves and remove some stress.

Failing to acknowledge your door opening, a tall slim figure struts through your squeaky door. Hearing the same old noise leave the floorboards when someone enters, you swing your head towards the person landing on your boyfriend, Leorio. You gave a small smile, as he returns one closing the door behind him.

"How are you doing?" He questioned, approaching your exhausted body, placing his cold hand on your back. The temperature difference caused bumps to rise along your s/c skin. You hum,

"Just school, per the usual." you say, irritation proving in your quiet voice. He continued drawing tiny shapes as you soaked up the tranquility of the short moment. Leorio  somehow always manages to calm you during your episodes of stress. No matter what causes it, he is here to soothe your aggression.

"Maybe i can help take some stress off?" He questioned, holding up a convenient store bag.  You smile lightly, already aware of what the bag holds. Every time you had a school/work deadline or test, he would always appear with "meaningless snacks." At least that's what he thought. He never recognized how much it filled your heart to know he understood you like the back of his hand.

You nod softly while standing from the uncomfortable chair. He slides his hand down your back tucking it around your waist pulling you closer to his figure, while he leads both of you towards the red love seat that sits in the small living room.

Taking a seat, Leorio grips onto your thighs placing your legs across his. He placed the bags on top of your legs while removing all of the goodies for you both. You stare at his strong features and slender figure. His brown eyes zoomed in on the bag, fiddling with the merchandise inside. His nose dusted slightly with a light shade of pink, proving the chilly day in New York. The small smile that danced on his face as he removed the items. You were mesmerized by him.

You never understood how he was able to drop everything and come to calm you. In a instant, he will be by your side. He is like your other half, you never realized how incomplete you felt without him.

You tucked a hand under his chin tugging him to face you. His eyes widen in surprise at the suddenness of your movements. Locking eyes with you, he scans up and down your flustered body. Seeing your lips slightly parted, the baggy hoodie hanging of your shoulder, made butterflies rise inside him as a blush crept onto his cheeks.

"I'm so in love you." You say softly, never taking your eyes from his quizzical facial expression. He giggles lightly,

"I love you-" before he could reciprocate, you placed a delicate kiss on his lips.
