Jason's POV

My first day at my new house couldn't have been better. First, I got to play in the game room that had super fun video games like GTA 5 and Mario Kart. We played for such a long time, that now my thumbs hurt. Then, Ariel, Jen, and I went to the kitchen and had ice cream sundaes. It was my first time trying it, so I took five scoops of vanilla ice cream, and put so much chocolate on it. For some reason, Ariel barely ate. I ignored her, wondering why she would do that.

Jen asked her many times why she wasn't hungry, but Ariel just shrugged and said she doesn't eat a lot. Maybe Jennifer doesn't know much about Ariel, but I do. When she came to the orphanage, she did eat. A lot. Now, she's my sister, so I have to take care of her. I'll talk to her about it later. I told myself. Right now, I just want to enjoy my first day with my new family.

When we finished eating, we went to the couch and Jen put a movie called "Journey to the Center of the Earth" in the DVD.

"Are you in this movie?" I ask Jen. I mean, she's a movie star. While in the game room, I asked her what kind of celebrity she was. There could be fashion, singing, acting, sports, even Internet stars. I wouldn't be surprised if she were a sports star. She looks fit, and she told me she loves playing baseball.

Jen told me how she was an actress, and played in a "few" movies. I asked her so many questions, that she was probably considering of punching me in the face. Instead, she answered all of my questions nicely, making jokes on the way.

"No, I'm not. Though one of my friend is. Actually, he'll probably be here soon. Well everyone will. It's almost six, so they should be here any minute now." Jen says.

"Okay," Ariel answers quietly. For some reason, she hasn't been talking a lot either. It could be because she's shy, but I would be suprised if it were because of that. We just got adopted, and she's acting like she'd rather be homeless. I want to scream at her, but at the same time talk to her. Obviously, there's something weird going. When we were in the game room, she turned so pale that I thought she would pass out at any second. Thankfully, she took a deep breath and started playing mini hockey with me.

"Let's start the movie then!" Jen says. She sits between Ariel and I, and presses play on the remote.

Before we get to the first scene of the movie, someone opens the front door, and five people come in the house. I immediately smell something familiar.

"Pizza," Jen says, grinning.

She stops the movie, and stands up. She looks at both me and Ariel and says, "You guys want to come meet your new family? My friends are also there."

"Yeah!" I say, super happy. I get up, and wait for Ariel to come.

"Of course!" She says, sounding super enthusiastic. So enthusiasts that it sounded fake. I ignore that too, and we walk towards the group of people.

"Dad, Mom, meet Ariel and Jason." Jen says as we approach two people looking in their 50's.

"Hi," Ariel and I say.

"Nice to meet you. Jen has told me so much about how excited she was to have you guys part of our family." The lady says.

"And we are very happy to welcome you in." The man says. "My name is Gary."

"And I'm Karen." She laughs.

"It's nice to meet you guys." I politely say.

We all look at Ariel, waiting for her to say something. I secretly and lightly kick her in the leg, and she glares at me.
