No wrinkles from laughter or even smiles on your perfect face,
Only beautiful blackness painted all over.
Rough matte nails, reflecting your colour.
Stained black lips, sharp black mascara,
And a carbonado filled tiara.

Like the wings of an angel, your eyelashes extend,
Having the mascara carry your tears and descend.
As the cameras flash and flash,
Everyone but me, claps with abash.

Striking palms, without the skin,
Just bones to her chagrin.
Like the sound of teeth colliding rapidly,
Shivering in the cold balmily.
Imitating the noise of a machine gun,
But you wish those claps were bullets.

I wish I could save you from dying in the light.
I thought I was different,
I thought a part of me had cared.
But I too was tamed by your darkness.

You may not love your black beauty,
But the world does.
And that’s who you belonged to.
So, cry on your knees and spill your darkness,
As we blind you with flashes of brightness.
