I looked away from his eyes because it was really scary looking at him.My dad saw everything and turned around to glare at him.
''I dare you to do that again and I would not hesistate to rip your eyes out.'' he said dangerously calm while looking at him dead in the eyes.
He turned around to look at me and his features soften.
He hugged me and I felt something warm on my shoulder.Why was he crying ? Did I do something wrong ?
''Umm.....Why are you crying ? I asked and broke the hug and looked at him
while wiping the tears with my thumb.
''These are tears of happiness of looking at the most precious thing to me in the whole entire world and I would trade anything for you.'' he said while kissing my forehead.
''But h..how do I k...know you are not a bad guy ?'' I managed to say while playing with the hem of my top and biting my lips.
''Look at this hair'' he said and pointed towards his hair first and then at mine.
Then he said something that me shocked.
''You have a mole on your left shoulder'' he said confidently.
''If you still do not believe me,I got the DNA report'' He said while handing me a file.
When my eyes scanned the paper my mouth hung open. The results were positive meaning that he is my real dad but then a thought crossed my head.
How did he get my DNA ?
''How did you get my DNA ?'' I managed to say while glancing t him.
''Few days back when I was getting out of my car I saw you inside a school and then I thought that you were my daughter but then I thought that you died 13 years ago in a car accident. Then I got information about you and thhen I came to know that you live here.So,I came here yesterday when you went to school. I took hair from your hairbrush in case if it was positive and it turns out that you are my daughter.You are my long lost daughter,my princess.'' he said the last part tearing up.
His gaze then fell on the necklace then his eyes widened.He looked at me.
''Do you have the ring also?'' he said while glancing the necklace and then it hit me like a ton of bricks. The ring that I have in the box that I kept away from my stepfather.
''Yes,wait a minute'' I said and rushed upstairs to get the ring and then went downstairs and gave it to him.
He opened the box and made a slit in the upper part of part of the box and took out a photo.It was a photo of a young girl with her mom and dad I guess.Then I looked at her and my eyes widened.She had the same hair and same eyes as me.She also had mole on her left shoulder and she had the same necklace as me and the ring in the box was on the finger of the women.She looked like a tiny version of me.
''She gave you the ring a day before the accident.'' he said while looking at the ring with glassy eyes.
''Then what happened?'' I asked with a hint of curiousity.
''I think you escaped the accident and went in the orphanage and they took you in the system.'' he said while looking at me and cracking a small smile.
''Dad'' I said while looking at him.His eyes lit up hearing his name.
''Come on, pack your bags we are leaving for home.'' he said in a calm voice while saring at my face with aoration like I will disappear.
I nodded my head and went upstairs to pack my things.I did not have much things to pack. I packed all the things in a duffel bag and went downstairs.Just to see my stepdad looking like he would shit himself and my dad waiting impatiently for me to get downstairs.
''Let's go'' he said and dragged me out of the house. I took a last glance at the place.I will still miss this place even if the person living inside gave me nightmares.
Let the journey begin.
