Ferit POV

I am sitting in the waiting area and thinking of all that has happened between us. The first time I saw her, I was blown away. I was mesmerized by those beautiful deep brown eyes. I thought I could look at them forever. I could see the fear and apprehension in those soulful eyes, when she said, "I am Nazli... your cook" . "Nazli.." I repeat and think what a beautiful name , like a music to my ears.

"Please Ferit.. try to understand.. I can explain" She said. "I have tried to tell you before but couldn't. I didn't deliberately lie to you". She tried to convince me. "You don't know how much I suffered too" She says with tears falling down her face. My heart breaks looking at her like this but I cannot forgive her. She lied to me and had broken my trust. " I can never forgive you Nazli.. From now on, you don't mean anything to me.."

I am jolted back to the present by a soft nudge on my shoulder. "Are you alright?" I look up and see Engin's concerned face. I see Fatosh, Assuma and Deniz rushing towards us. "What did the doctor say?" Engin asks. "They are still inside and have asked to wait here". I say still staring at my hands.

"Its all my fault" Assuma breaks down . "My sister never hurts anyone, she only protects. Why did this happen to her? If something happens to her I can never forgive myself". She cries. I can't think about that possibility, not now. "Nothing can happen to her. Do you understand?". I say angrily through my gritted teeth. Deniz comes forward and pulls Assuma towards him and tries to console her. I can see that same fear and concern in his eyes as mine.

After which seemed like ages, one of the doctors comes out of the emergency room. "Who is Ferit?" He asks. I stand up immediately. " The patient was calling out this name" He says and adds " We have given the initial treatment. She has been diagnosed with Hypothermia. She is still not out of the woods and would need to be monitored for couple of hours".

"Can I see her doctor?" I ask cautiously and he nods "Please come this way".

When I enter the room, I see my angel sleeping peacefully. She has been covered with layers of blankets. There are wires connected to her for monitoring the vitals and her delicate arm is pricked with needle for fluid transmission. I move closer and remove few strands of hair from her face. Her skin feels cold as compared to mine and her face is pale. She looks to fragile that I fear even if I touch, she will break. "Ferit" She whispers. "I am here Nazli.. you are fine, you are safe.. Please Wake up baby.. I love you.." My voice breaks and I can't hold back my tears any longer.

I stand there staring at her sleeping self for sometime when the sudden beeping sound of the machine breaks my reverie. Within seconds the monitors go crazy and all hell breaks loose. The doctors and the nurses come rushing in and I feel a hand pushing me outside the room. I am unable to move or speak. I hear the doctors say something like "Flat lining". No .. No.. No this can't be happening. I see the doctors are frantically working on her to resuscitate before the door closes in front of me and everything goes blurry.
