Nazli PoV

I was quite shocked with the revelations which Ferit made last night about his mother. It made sense why he was so skeptical about everything and didn't trust anyone that easily. I could'nt imagine how he must have suffered when he came to know about his mother's extra marital affair. My heart went out to the child who took the brunt of a failed marriage. There was nothing that I could say to soothe his pain. I could only hold him closely when he revealed the reason for his stained relationship with his mother. He held me so close to his chest as though if he didn't, I would disappear. It pained me to see him so vulnerable. I just hoped he could forgive his mother someday. Today morning also when Mrs. Lehman invited us to have breakfast together , Ferit declined saying we had different plans and even though I wanted to accept her invitation, I couldn't force him like I would have if I didnt know the truth. I wanted to have a good relation with his mother given the circumstances we married but that doesn't seem likely in the near future. 

Ferit took me took to a cafe by the sea side for breakfast. He used to visit the place with his father. He was very close to his dad and missed him terribly. "This place is special for me. I used to come with dad  and love the coffee. It is the best." He told me. I beamed at him and felt happy that he was sharing his special places with me. As we were having breakfast, Ferit suddenly held my hands and looking deeply in my eyes and said " Nazli, you know right ,that you mean everything to me. I know our relationship was not easy at the beginning but we have crossed all that to be where we are today. There are still many things which are out there working against us but trust me". I squeezed his hands and said " I trust you with my life. I don't have any doubts in my mind. You are everything to me too. We are together in this". I knew that there are things he doesn't say and he was worried about my safety ever since the freezer incident. Although , I thought it was a mere accident but I know he doesn't believe that. I didn't want to spoil my mood thinking about all that happened in the past and enjoyed the wonderful coffee for which I was dying to get the recipe.

I had to go to the market  for sampling some cheese. I had come out of the restaurant and took a cab to the market. It was afternoon and I had to return to the restaurant too. My luck, the car broke down and I was left stranded on the road. I still had to go a couple of miles and had to find another cab.  I was waiting to catch a vehicle when my eyes caught someone I know on the other side of the road. 

Pelin got down from the car and behind her there was another man. I couldn't see his face yet . I was quite intrigued to know whom she was with so I quickly hid myself behind a parked car in front of me. I was shocked to find none other than Hakan following her and entering a cafe. I didn't know what happened between Ferit and Pelin, but there was something about her which I didn't like and her meeting  Hakan was really suspicious . I took out my cellphone and snapped few quick photos while hidden behind the car. Once they were no longer there, I moved out and walked towards the edge of the road to catch a cab.I needed to talk to Ferit and so I dropped him a message that I would meet him in his office at evening. I decided to finish my work in the market soon and meet Ferit immediately. I informed Fatosh and Manami that I won't be returning to the restaurant for the day as something important had come up. I was impatient to meet Ferit and thought to myself that all the evil plotting and planning will soon be undone.

Ferit PoV

My mind was not in peace. There were too many elements which were unknown to me. I was sure that Hakan was behind the car accident which took away my best friend and sister. But, I didn't have any proof and that has been making me  impatient. And now this new confusion about Pelin. I felt as though there are forces working from behind and ready to make a move to catch me off-guard. I couldn't let my guard down at any cost. I told Engin what I found about Pelin. He said that we shouldn't assume anything and moreover professionally we couldn't take any action to scrap this ongoing project and he was right.They hadn't  given us any reason to complain either. I needed some more time.

I received a message from Nazli this afternoon and she would come to my office in the evening. One good thing in my otherwise tiring day. I heard a knock and I hoped it was my wife.  The moment she entered she asked " Is Pelin here today?".  I was surprised and replied " Yes. She works for our project. So she should be here. What happened Nazli? Is everything alright?" 

" There is something important, I need to show you". She came forward and handed me her cellphone. " I was going to the market today when I saw them". She continued. I could only nod while I stood transfixed by the picture before me. It clearly showed Pelin and Hakan interacting and I didn't know If I was angrier at Pelin or at myself for actually believing her again. I handed the phone back to Nazli and immediately dialed my assistant to bring Pelin to my room. Nazli could feel my rage and she gently rubbed my arms to soothe my anger. I closed my eyes to reign in my temper. 

"Hi Ferit! You wanted to see me? Oh Hello Nazli". Pelin entered and was little surprised to see Nazli and a little annoyed which she quickly masked with a plastic smile.

" You guys talk, I will be outside". Nazli said and was about to turn around when I held her back and said " I want you to stay here. Please." She looked at me and  nodded and gently squeezed my hands without saying anything.

"Is everything alright?" Pelin asked nervously. " I should be asking you questions Pelin. What are you doing here?" I said coldly. " I don't understand what you are asking Ferit. I was working on the project design." She replied. 

" You very well understand what I am asking. Why did you come back to Istanbul and apply for my company? Or should I ask what is your boss Hakan planning? " I asked raising my voice. "And don't you dare lie to me. I already know about your meeting with Hakan. I can't believe I trusted you again knowing everything about you."

All her masks gave away and she almost screamed . " I did everything to get you back. I loved you and you loved me. Nazli must have said all these against me. She has you eating out of her palms. Don't  you see that?" 

" Don't you dare say anything against Nazli .Yes , at some point I thought I loved you but everything has changed.How  much you love is evident by the way you went and partnered with my enemy." I continued.

At this point she was in tears and started apologising " I am sorry Ferit. Your friendship means a lot to me. I shouldn't have agreed to work for Hakan. I was desperate. Everything else was true. I hadn't cheated on you Ferit". 

" But you just did Pelin. I know there was no abortion or pregnancy." She was caught totally off-guard and gasped in surprise and eyes widened with terror. " Please believe me Ferit. I did everything for you. I had never cheated. I wanted you to feel bad about it too so I said about the pregnancy."

I had enough and wanted her out of my company and my life forever. " The project is cancelled.  You can leave and one more thing, I took the right decision about you 5 years back and don't regret it anymore." She looked stunned and after a few seconds she turned and left for good.

I breathed a sigh of relief after the ordeal and Nazli pulled me in her embrace. I felt myself relaxing immediately and thanked my stars that from tomorrow I would have one less problem to think about.
