Chapter 4

Back to Olivia's POV:

I wake up from what feels like a long nap. Ow my head hurts really bad. OH MY GOD am I in the hospital? No-no-no. I sit up, I feel so weak.

"Oh thank god you're up, princess." Joey hugs me. I hug him back, reluctantly.

"What happened, though?" I ask, sighing.

"We don't know exactly what happened, yet, but you passed out at lunch today. You've been out for about two hours. I'm just glad you're ok." He hugs me again.

"Oh, I don't even remember that happening." I laugh.

The doctor walks in, with a folder in his hand.

"Oh good, you're up. We have to run some tests to see exactly what happened." The doctor sits down, and checks my pulse, and does some other tests.

"Where's my mom?" I ask.

"We called her, and she was out of town. I'll go let her know that you're up and ok." The doctor smiles.

Joey sits next to me in the bed. I lean against him and sigh.

"I hate hospitals," I say.

"Do you wanna talk about it?" He asks. I shake my head.

"It's ok. Everybody has their own demons." He rests his head against mine and then holds my hand.

I fall asleep.

An hour later...

"Hey, princess, you have to wake up. Your mom's here to get you." Joey tells me.

"Ok," I say, getting up.

Joey hugs me and then kisses me on the forehead.

"Be safe." He tells me.

When my mom and I get in the car, she immediately asks, "oooh. Who's that boy? Is he your boyfriend?"

"Oh my god, mom no! He's just a friend." I say, exhausted. Mom gives me a look of disbelief, before driving off. When we get home, I do my homework. Luckily, Joey got me my backpack. Ugh, I have such a headache. After I'm done, I'm eating and watching Riverdale, then going to sleep.

And that's exactly what I did.

The next day...

I wake up, put my cheer uniform on, put my hair into a messy bun, and take an ibuprofen for my pounding headache. I then did my makeup because I have cheer today. I wonder if Joey's gonna be at school today? Oh yeah, I made it on the cheer team!
I eat breakfast, grab my backpack, and get my car keys.
I start driving to school.

When I get to school, I see Joey at the entrance. When I walk up to him, he wraps his arm around me. We walk into school.

"The only reason you have your arm around me is os because I don't have the energy to fight with you right now." I sigh.
Joey just smiles.
I go to my locker, put my backpack away and get the books out that I need. Joey and I go to our class.

Lunchtime came around, and Joey sat by me again. I get a call from my doctor.

"Hello?" I say.

"Hello, Olivia Murray. We figured out that you were just very dehydrated. Nothing much to worry about! Just make sure to drink some water." The doctor explains.

"Oh, ok. Thank you! Bye." I reply.

"So guys, great news! I was just dehydrated, it was nothing too serious!" I smile.

"Princess, that's good news! I'm glad you're ok." Joey says, smiling.

"Thank god that's all!" Aubrey sighs.

"Yeah! I need my best friend!" Breonna agrees.

"So there's this Halloween party Friday at Brad's house. You guys have to come! Joey, you were probably going since he's your best friend. But still." Breonna explains.

"Ok, count me in!" Aubrey smiles.

"I guess I'll go if that makes you guys happy," I say.

"Well if Olivia's going, then I'm going, too," Joey says, smiling at me.

A few days later, we all became really used to Joey.

Friday came, and I decided to wear some black ripped jeans, a sage green long sleeve cropped shirt that has ruffles on the sleeves, and some strappy black heels. I curled my long hair and put on some mascara and clear lip gloss.

Joey said he was picking me up at 8:00 PM, so we could hang out and get something to eat before the party. He said that would be our date. I finished getting ready right when Joey said he was here. I grab my black shoulder bag and leave.
