A few hours later, I'm at my last class. Then cheer tryouts, and I can go home.

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
It's finally the end of class, I start heading to the gym, but then a person taps my shoulder. I turn around to face Joey Jacobs?!
"Um hi?" I say, but it sounds more of a question.
"Hey. I just wanted to know if you were trying out for cheer?" He asks me.
"Yeah, of course. Are you gonna do football?"
"Yeah, that's the plan." He says smirking.
"Ok," I say as I continue to walk to the gym. He's just walking beside me which is kinda strange. We arrive at the gym, and the cheer and football coach explains everything.
We go outside to the field, the football players start practicing and the cheerleaders are stretching.
Lili walks over to me and sits down next to me. This is really strange.
"I saw you talking to MY man." She says angrily, batting her eyelashes at me. If she isn't careful, she'll bat them right off her plastic head. Ok, that was mean, but she does look like a barbie doll.
"Leave him alone, he's MINE. If I catch you talking to him again, there will be HELL to pay. Anyways, toodles."
"Uh ok." Well, that was really weird, and it's not like I wanted him anyway, sis.
"Hey, Olivia, what was that about?" Joey walks up and asks me.
"Uh, nothing, just cheer." I give him a small, forced smile.
"Oh ok." He says walking back to the field.
I tryout, and then I start walking to get in my car and as I'm about to get in, I hear,
"Olivia, hey!"
I already know who it is, Joey.
"Yeah?" I ask.
"I just wanted to know if you want to go out sometime."
I freeze. Did I just hear that right? Are my ears working, or are they out of batteries? He really asked ME of all girls?
"Um, ok, first of all, no you have a girlfriend. And second, why would you even ask that?" I question him.
"Um I don't have a girlfriend," he steps closer, leaning over me with his hand against my car, and his other on my cheek. "and because you're beautiful, princess."
I just stare at him blankly, probably looking redder than a tomato.
I push him back. "Ok, still. Absolutely not."
"Why?" He asks, confused.
I don't even answer him, I just get in my car. I can hear him sigh, and walk away. I start driving home.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

When I get home, I set my backpack down and go to the kitchen to get some water. I then go back to my room and start doing my homework.

As I'm just finishing my homework, I get a phone call from Breonna.

"Hello?" I ask.

"Oh my god, so Joey Jacobs just asked me to give him your phone number!"

"Oh no. You didn't give it to him, did you?"

"Uhm OF COURSE I did, have you seen him? Anyways, that's all, bye!"

I can't believe this. Ugh. I finish my homework and go downstairs to watch some TV. I watch Riverdale.

Then I get a text. From a number, I don't know. I'm guessing it's Joey.

The text says:
Hey, can we meet up? It's important.
---------------------------------------------------------

Who is this?

I reply.
---------------------------------------------------------

It's someone you know. Just meet me. outside the park by the school.

The person replies.
---------------------------------------------------------

Ok fine.

I say finally.

I turn off the TV and grab my car keys, phone, and put on my shoes. I get in my car and drive to the park.

When I get there, I walk over to the bench. The person who texted me is gonna have to come over to me since I don't know for sure who this is.
