It was cold. Trees surrounded a field in a circle. The grass had dew on the tips, making out glitter in the sun.  There were four stumps. In them sat Mitch, Tara, and Liam, all in white. There was one seat left. For me, I assumed.

I took one step and saw a flowing white dress under me. I was also bare footed. I walked toward them slowly, admiring the trees and crystal blue sky. Once in the circle, I took a seat in between Tara and Liam. No one said anything. They all watched me, nodding when I sat.

No one said anything for a long time. We watched each other carefully, waiting for someone to say something. Finally, Liam spoke.

"You know why you're here, right? You've been called to the gathering place of demon hunters, Isle of Illidan. This was the birth place of the first demon hunter. It was originally named Terra Magicas, which means Land of Magic in Latin. The people of this island believed that he was the chosen one. That he was meant to rid the world of all evil. The world would be pure once again. But they knew he could not do this alone. So, they drew the blood from his hand and made only the stongest men of Terra Magicas drink from the small bottle.

"No one had itended to leave Terra Magicas. But they were invaded by Malorum and they fled. They reproduced in the New Land. They had children who were born with the demon hunter blood in their veins. Demon hunters were not meant to be women. Because of this, the parents sent their daughters away, hiding them. They lived with the tedious, having no knowledge of what was in their blood. Some children were born without the demon hunter blood. They were sent away as well. The people of Magicas believed only the strongest men were to be out fighting for purity.

"As time went on, the children who had no knowledge of the blood in their bodies were sucked into the world of demon hunting, The children were scared, and with nowhere to run, slit their wrists hoping the blood of the demon hunters would leave their bodies. The ones who did continue, were terrified to reproduce, scared to pass this terrible blood onto their offspring.

"The bloodline has since slowed down . Demon hunters are not being produced. Their children have little to no hunters blood. Not enough to let them see the world of demon hunters, therefore they are tedious. The blood line must continue. To make the world pure. Without the demon hunters, all of humanity could be destroyed."

I woke up drenched in sweat and gasping. I shot up, looking around my room. All clear. I turned on my lamp and checked my phone. It was one o'clock in the morning. I opened my window and threw my feet out. I looked down from the second story window to the empty drive way, swaying my legs back and forth.

I'm a demon hunter. I was born with this blood in me. But my parents...I was adopted. My parents adopted Zach and I when I was 3 and he had just been born. Who were my real parents then? Were they still alive? I don't even remember them. I don't remember what their faces look like. I have to find them. I have to ask them about this. I need to find out who I really am.

I crawled back into my bed, closing my window. Laying my head on my pillow, I looked up at the glow in the dark stars on my ceiling.

"Mom? Dad? If you're there, hi. It's me, Nikki, or Nicole. I have questions only you have answers to. I need help. I don't know what's going on, bit maybe you can tell. I love you guys, night."
