Ruby and I were by the punch bowl.

I'm too nervous to ask for a dance.

My thoughts were cut off by Jaune sliding by the punch bowl with us.

"I see you're hiding by the punch bowl too" Jaune said.

"Yep" Ruby said, it sounded as if she was annoyed.

SHE'S ANNOYED AT ME, NOOOOOO!

"To the socially awkward" Jaune said holding his cup for a cheer.

We clanged our cups together.

"Sorry things didn't work out with Weiss" Ruby said.

"Ehh it's fine, everything's pretty cool" Jaune said.

"Doesn't sound cool" I said.

He turned to me then sighed.

"Neptune's pretty cool, I get why she went out with him" Jaune said.

I was confused.

"What do you mean" Ruby and I said in sync.

"Well come on, how many people can pull of blue hair" Jaune asked.

"No I mean, Weiss came to the dance alone" Ruby said.

Jaune almost choked on his drink.

"What" Jaune asked.

He turned to Weiss, who was playing with the white flowers.

"Yeah, she said she had too much to focus on to worry about boys" Ruby said.

One of the flowers Weiss was playing with drooped, making her sad.

She then looked at Sun, Blake, and Neptune who were having the time of their lives.

Jaune looked pissed.

"Hold my punch" He said passing the cup to me.

He walked off, most likely towards Neptune.

As Ruby took a sip from her glass I decided it was time to ask.

"R-Ruby..." I said.

She turned to me.

"I-I...I was wondering if....y-you'd like..." I said trying to muster up the courage.

"Yes..." She said.

"T-To umm...uhh..." I said.

I wanted to say it...SAY IT!!!

"I can't do it" I said running off.

"Y/N" Ruby called as I ran off.

I went outside.

I found a nice little spot by the fountain.

As I sat at the fountain I sighed with defeat.

I've faced the Empire multiple times, fought giant creatures during my master's training sessions...and I can't even muster up the courage to ask a girl to dance.

As I was moping I heard someone sighing.

I looked up and saw the ghost of my master.

"Oh come on, right now, of all the times you could manifest" I said.

"Y/n...I thought I raised you better" He said with a smirk.

"You're not helping" I said.

"What's this, the Jedi in the beyond are calling, they're saying....BOOOOOOO" He said.
