Part 17

(Y/N) pov.

As soon as I saw that guy, I grabbed Hikki's wrist, and started to run to the clubroom.

- H-hey, what's wrong?- Hikki asked, but I ignored him.

Why is he here? If he sees me, and announces to anyone that I work at a maid café, I'm done for...

I slowed down, after a good 30 seconds of running, and looked out the window.

He was nowhere to be seen outside, so I calmed down.

- So, what was this about?-  Hikigaya asked.

He was panting a little bit, and after he asked, he started looking outside the window, to see what I was looking at.

- There was a guy, and I really didn't want him to see me.- I explained, with as little information as possible.

- .... Was he your ex?- Hikki asked quietly.

I laughed, and playfully punched his shoulder.

- Of course not, because I don't have exes. He is a regular at the place I work at.- I said, as I started walking again.

Hikki followed close behind, and we talked about anything but that guy.

I think he didn't ask questions about 'why I didn't want him to see me', and 'where do I work', because he could tell, that I didn't want to talk about it.

So we avoided that topic completely, and I was grateful for that.

After some walking, we reached the club, and saw that Yukino and Yui were standing in front of the door.

- Hey, what are you doing?- I asked.

I think I startled them, but they didn't mention it.

- H-hi (N/N)... There is a suspicious guy inside the clubroom.- Yui whispered.

- Huh?- me and Hikki gave voice to our confusion at the same time.

- Let me see.- I said as I stepped closer to the door.

I peeked inside the classroom, and then my face turned so white, it would've put the walls to shame.

I slowly turned my head to Hikki.

- Hikki... This is the guy...- I said.

Maybe he won't recognize me...
Ok, who am I kidding, I'm the only one who serves him at the café.
Oh God, this is going to be really awkward.

- Huh? What guy?- Yui asked, while she was looking back and forth between me and Hikki.

- It doesn't matter.- I said, after I regained my composure.

- Alright then. Could you go inside and make sure everything's okay?- Yukino asked me.

I took a step back.

I maybe able to go unnoticed be him, if I go in lastly, but if I'm going to be the one who opens the door, then he'll definitely recognize me.

- Uhm... I- before I could come up with an excuse, Hikigaya interrupted me.

- I'll go in instead.- as he stepped closer to the door, I looked at him with gratitude, and mouthed a quick 'thank you' to him.

He opened the door, and we were hit with a big gush of wind.

- I have been waiting for thee, Hikigaya Hachiman.- the white haired man exclaimed.

- W-what? You were surprised, even though you were waiting?!- Hikki said.
