~They Broke Through The Walls?!~

"THE TITANS BREACHED THE WALLS!" The sudden cry echoed, triggering a collective panic among us. Thoughts raced through my mind, contemplating the uncertain fate that awaited us. In the end, it all boiled down to one thing—killing titans, the very reason we were summoned.

As the realization dawned on some, others seemed to have thicker skulls, their obliviousness earning them a mental eye-roll.

"SOLDIERS, NOW IS YOUR TIME TO SHOW US WHAT YOU'RE MADE OF! PROCEED AND KILL THOSE TITANS!" bellowed a determined corporal, attempting to rally our resolve.

Attempting to reassure myself, I conjured a smile, but deep down, I knew it was a facade.

Surveying the faces around me, fear was etched across them. Titans had a way of paralyzing people in terror.

"I didn't come here to kill damn titans..." I heard Jean mutter, and my instinct was to comfort him. However, before I could intervene, Eren initiated a brawl with Jean. I hesitated, torn between breaking up the fight and offering support, but Mikasa swiftly intervened. Tempers flared, and Eren redirected his rage towards Mikasa, the tension escalating.

Swinging with my ODM gear, the rush of wind against my face filled me with an exhilarating sensation. The joy was palpable, and I couldn't help but break into a smile. However, the gravity of our perilous situation quickly crept back into my mind, and my expression shifted to a shudder, wiping the smile away.

Navigating through the chaos with my team—Armin and Eren—we worked together seamlessly. A quick maneuver allowed me to slash a titan that had nearly consumed one of my comrades. Determined to eliminate as many titans as possible, I pressed on.

Suddenly, Armin's scream pierced the air, prompting me to speed towards him. To my dismay, I found him frozen, tears streaming down his face, in the looming presence of an elderly titan.

Swiftly grabbing Armin, I retreated to another rooftop and gently set him down. Wiping away his tears, I asked with concern, "Armin, what happened?"

Seeing Armin in a state of distress, I shook him gently, hoping to snap him out of his traumatized state. He stammered as he tried to articulate his experience with evident fear, the name "Eren" lingering on his lips.

"Eren... I tried... I did," he managed to convey, struggling to return to the present moment. I understood the weight of the situation, realizing that fear had gripped him.

"It's okay... I know you tried," I reassured him, enveloping him in a comforting hug. As I felt my shirt dampening, I realized Armin was crying.

"Let's find Mikasa," I suggested, wiping away his tears. He offered a weak smile, slowly standing up. I followed suit, ready to face the challenges that lay ahead.

TIME SKIP

Reaching Mikasa, who stood with a commanding presence, I couldn't help but acknowledge her formidable aura. A sad smile passed between Armin and me, his hand trembling as I offered a reassuring squeeze. In these dire moments, it seemed like I had become a source of comfort for many due to my height.

As Armin approached Mikasa and tapped her shoulder, I witnessed a moment of panic on her face, quickly replaced by relief upon recognizing him. Curious about Eren's whereabouts, she questioned Armin, who hesitated before glancing at me. Sensing the gravity of the situation, I dropped my smile and turned away.

"[Name] found me... I don't remember much... But everyone else in my team is gone," Armin explained, prompting Jean to exclaim, "No way! The suicidal maniac?!" His gaze was unmistakably fixed on Mikasa, and the tension in the air grew palpable.

"N- No," Mikasa's whispered response hung in the air as she swiftly dashed away. Concerned about her gas supply, I couldn't help but express my worry.

"Mikasa, your gas!" I yelled, but my words failed to reach her. Realizing the urgency, I urged the remaining soldiers, "We have to catch up to her. She could fall any second from not having any gas."

Agreeing unanimously, we sprinted, conserving our gas for when we truly needed it. However, the sudden roar of a titan shifter sent shivers down our spines, intensifying the atmosphere.

I swiftly clipped onto the wall and ascended, revealing the Attack Titan. As others caught up, gasps filled the air.

"An abnormal that kills titans? Isn't that cannibalism..?" Jean questioned, voicing the confusion we all felt.

"No..." I whispered under my breath, hoping my words went unheard. Unfortunately, my attempt at secrecy fell short, and I sensed curious eyes turning toward me.

"What do you mean, no?" Connie's question cut through the tension.

"It's not abnormal... That's a human," I clarified, my gaze fixed on the colossal figure of the Attack Titan.

"Are you, like, blind?" Connie retorted, expressing disbelief.

"It's a titan shifter. It will kill all the titans. But we have to find our way back over there," I pointed towards headquarters.

"I think she might be right..." Armin interjected, looking between the titan and our group.

Internally frustrated at my inability to share my broader knowledge, I sighed. 'I am right, though. UGHHH.'

Suddenly, Mikasa appeared out of nowhere, breaking the tense atmosphere.
