Reclaiming Trost 2

The chaos continued as Eren unleashed an uncontrollable attack, putting Mikasa in imminent danger. Reacting quickly, I pulled her out of harm's way and yelled at Eren to regain control.

As Mikasa defiantly hooked onto Eren's face, attempting to bring him back to his senses, a corporal intervened, ordering her to stand down. Despite Mikasa's efforts, Eren, in a moment of self-inflicted violence, punched himself and collapsed, unconscious.

We stood there, watching Mikasa glare at the higher-ups who began arguing among themselves. Eventually, a decision was reached, and they mobilized to fight the titans.

Amidst the tension, one of the higher-ups teased Mikasa about saving the man she loved, leading to an embarrassed denial from her. I playfully chimed in with a sing-song taunt, earning a protest from Mikasa, though I patted her head in a comforting gesture.

The uncertainty lingered as we observed Eren, questioning why his injuries didn't heal. The situation took a dark turn, prompting concerns about the potential consequences.

Fast forward, and Eren began twitching and wriggling, drawing our attention. I approached Mikasa and informed her that he was awake, prompting us to prepare for whatever came next.

In a swift and determined move, I propelled myself towards a titan about to strike someone. My ODM gear propelled me into the air, and with a precise slash, I severed the titan's nape, showering myself in its repulsive blood.

Amidst the chaos, I heard Conny's scream and swiftly glided over to the wall, where I found the group in distress. Conny's terror-filled eyes locked onto mine, and I instinctively scanned the surroundings—Marco, Annie, Conny, and Jean. The realization struck me like a thunderbolt—Jean was missing.

Looking down, my heart skipped a beat as I spotted Jean being pursued by a titan. Panic engulfed me, and without a second thought, I leaped off the wall, disregarding Conny's desperate shout.

"[NAMEE!]" he yelled, but my focus was singular. I accelerated towards Jean, slashing the titan in his pursuit. In a sudden, desperate grab, I seized Jean by the waist, racing back towards the safety of the wall.

As we reached the wall, I released Jean, collapsing from the sheer exhaustion of the rapid rescue. Panting heavily, I watched as they rushed to Jean, completely overlooking my near-death experience as if my exhaustion meant nothing. I stared at them, panting, a mixture of frustration and relief swirling within me.

Finally, Marco acknowledged my swift rescue, and Connie chimed in, impressed by how quickly I had acted. It was a small moment of recognition that felt gratifying. But my attention was on Jean, who remained silent, still processing the shock.

Annie, noting my exhaustion, suggested taking a break, but I couldn't rest when Mikasa and Armin might need assistance.

"I have to help Mikasa and Armin," I responded with a smile, backing away before jumping off the wall. The rush of the wind against my face was oddly invigorating as I used my ODM gear to soar to a nearby rooftop.

Eren's thunderous footsteps reverberated, and I hurried to the scene, though I knew my capabilities were limited. The sight below was grim—pools of blood and Eren's titan collapsed on the ground. Mikasa was beside Eren, Armin supporting him.

Approaching cautiously, I noticed one of the scouts on the ground, a somber reminder of the toll the battle had taken.
