r i c h a r d s - christmas

our first christmas together in our new house. me and josh had recently bought our own house earlier this year after saving up for it. we were hosting christmas this year at our house after hosting it at sway for the last few years. this was also our first christmas together since getting engaged.

y: josh, baby! i called for him since he was upstairs

j: yes love?

y: can you get the christmas decorations from downstairs since we're done with the tree?

j: of course

few minutes later josh came back up with the decorations for the kitchen, living room, bathroom and our room.

j: where do you wanna start?

y: kitchen, then we make our way around the house and then up to our room

j: let's go

we started replacing the hand towels for christmas ones and the mats next to the oven and sink with christmas ones. putting up our christmas mugs next to our coffee bar and putting christmas plates and bowls in the cabinets. we also put out a candle, a little snowman on the counter and a big letter snow sign on top of the cabinets.

next we moved to the living room and started by replacing the pillows and basket of throw blankets for christmas ones. also putting a candle on the coffee table as well as a snow globe. a tree skirt under the tree, stockings on the fire place and garland around the fire place.

next was the bathrooms but there wasn't much to put into there except hand towels and the bath math next to the sink and shower.

we decorated the front with a wreath and and out door rug and lights before doing the same thing we did with the living room to our bedroom minus the tree skirt and stockings.

skip a month later to christmas day ( i decorate before thanksgiving so that's what the huge time skip is 💀)

j: merry christmas baby he said just waking up

y: merry christmas love i returned giving him a kiss

j: the boys are gonna be here soon let's get up and then we can head downstairs

30 minutes later

the boys just for here and we just finished eating breakfast and now it was time to open presents. we had a good morning and me and josh were excited to be spending it together, engaged with all of our friends hopefully spending our christmas next year with a bundle  of joy and making new memories with a little baby
