New York City...

"Hmph, the guy hasn't been seen in five years, and he starts branding criminals, yet he gets much press as much as we do when we save the world?" Tony Stark  said, crossing his arms as he looked to the news report about the return of the Gotham Bat. "That seems a bit unfair."

"Well, I'm deeply sorry for your ego Tony," Dr. Bruce Banner said from his desk. "But it's not that bad. At least he'll take the media off our backs."

Both scientists were currently in Tony's personal tower now redubbed as the "Avengers Tower," working on a contingency plan codenamed Veronica when the A.I. J.A.R.V.I.S. had notified them both about Batman's return to Gotham City.

Tony-What are you stressed about the media? They only know you through the Other Guy.

Bruce-I'm just being modest here.

Tony stared at the TV for a while before saying, "How much do you want to bet that Fury wants the recruit the Batman?"

"Why'd you say that?" asked Bruce.

"Because Fury tried to recruit him back in the 90's before any of us," Tony replied. "But the mission was canceled on its first night."

Bruce-Interesting. And where did you get this info? Something tells me you didn't just ask Fury himself.

Tony-No, I hacked SHIELD again.

Bruce-What? Again? Why?

T-Because I wanted to see if he had anymore secrets like the Tesseract weapons in Phase Two. And Batman was mentioned along with a school for mutants in Winchester County, Dr. Reed's family is quite extraordinary. Need I go on?

B-Who's gonna stop you? We all know that you like the sound of your own voice.

Tony ignored the jab and continued, "Anyway, Batman was only mentioned in fifteen page worth of words. Fifteen! Are the agents of SHIELD poor excuses of super spies or what?"

"Or maybe Batman is just that good," Banner pointed out. He was silent for a moment and asked, "What about the rest of the team? Are they mentioned a lot in S.H.I.E.L.D.'s files?"

Tony-Well, you have 150 page worth of words, Romanoff and Barton have the same. Thor has a hundred. Cap-sicle has two-fifty. And for yours truly, I have five hundred pages worth of words in their files.

"I don't think that is something to be proud of, but then again you do like the attention." Banner commented with a shake in his head.

Tony rolled his eyes as he looked out the window to New York City. He noticed that half of still wasn't rebuilt still. We should do something to show the people that New York is safe enough for them to continue their lives. he thought. Knowing that business owners were moving out of the city. Something that make them feel safe and invest the city. Then it clicked in his mind. A gala.

He called Pepper and said, "Pepper, I got an idea. A gala. A gala where all the business people come here and meet the Avengers!" He was clearly excited about it. "A gala where they will know that their business will be safe in New York." Pepper spoke in protest. "Come on! It's a great idea. Invite all of the important business people that owned stuff in New York, Banner and I will contact the Avengers." He hung up and looked to Bruce. He explained it to him and the scientist asked, "What about Thor?" Tony frowned as he thought it over. "How do I get Point Break here?" he asked out loud. Another idea for the drawing board.

Asgard...

"Heimdall, what news do you have about Midgard?" Thor asked the guardian of the Bifrost rainbow bridge. "How are things going about in New York?"
