Nova looked at Sirius who didn't look like he wanted to talk. Nova smiled. "It's okay if you don't want to talk about it dad. I promise. I won't be upset."

"No it's okay. You want to know. And you have every right to know," Sirius said as he looked at her and smiled. "It won't be easy. But I'll do my best."

Nova nodded and sighed. She poured herself a drink and smiled. "When you're ready dad."

Sirius took a deep breath and spoke. "We met when we were in school. First true love or something like that. But I loved her. I loved her too much. Despite people thinking I was a playboy, I loved her. We had you a couple of months after Lily and James had Harry. We were so happy together. I wanted to marry her."

Nova smiled. "First true love? That sounds good. I'd love to meet her. Please."

"I'm sorry kitten. It's not going to be possible."

"Why?"

Sirius looked into his only daughter's eyes. "Because she died in my arms. Bellatrix LeStrange killed her and she passed in my arms."

Nova felt her heart break. Her mum was dead before she even met her. She wiped away some tears. "I'm sorry daddy. I didn't mean to bring it all up again."

"It's okay. But I think you should get back to school. Before someone comes for you."

Nova arrived back at school. Alexis was waiting. "Well? How did it go?" She asked as she looked at her.

"I found out. My mum died. Bella killed her. She died in my dad's arms. And I never even knew her," Nova sobbed as she looked at her cousin.

Alexis held her close as she cried. She felt her heart breaking for her. "It will be okay. Bella won't get away with this."

"She gets away with everything. That's just what Bella does. And I'm sick of it. She thinks she can do what she wants. One day someone is going to end Bellatrix. And I hope it's me."

Nova went to see Fred. She found him in the library. Fred looked at her. "How did it go?" He asked as he looked at her.

Nova shrugged. "I found out she's dead. She died in my dad's arms. And I didn't even know her. I'll never get to meet her. How do I cope with this?" She sobbed.

Fred held her close. He didn't care who saw. He let her cry. "It will be okay. I promise you. You're tough and I know you can get through this. Do you trust me?" He asked.

Nova nodded. "Yeah. I trust you."

Nova spent the rest of the day in a daze. Her head was a mess and she couldn't handle it at all. She didn't know how to cope with what she had been told. She smiled as Alexis walked in. She looked up at her. "You okay? I talked to Severus. He knew your mother. He said she was an amazing person. Despite who she ended up with."

Nova smiled slightly. She sighed. "I don't suppose he has a photo of her? No. Who am I kidding. Severus Snape doesn't do photos."

Alexis grinned. "Actually. He told me where you could find a picture of her. And tomorrow that's what we are going to do. Okay?"

"Okay. Thank you Lexis. I appreciate it."

Nova made her way to the room of requirement. She saw Fred sitting on a bed. She looked at him. "Mr Weasley. Do you have something in mind for this? I mean.. it can't be for sleeping?"

Fred smiled. "Not that. I thought we could just relax for a couple of hours. Dobby gave us sandwiches. We're good for some time."

Nova smiled and nodded. But as she was lying there with Fred, she didn't know how her whole life was going to change. And it wasn't going to be good.
