It wasn't there.

The yellow topaz stone that sparkled on his ear.

The same colour as Bams eyes.

The one thing that kept them physically linked at all times.

The one thing that grounded Bam.

It wasn't there.

He took a shaky breath, calming himself. The panic, the anger.

Climbing out of bed, he wrapped himself in a bathrobe with trembling hands and staggered down the corridor until he reached the stream room. Swinging open the door, he stumbled inside distracting his partner from his stream.

"Give me a minute guys, I'll be right back."

Khun paused his stream and turned to his partner.

"You... Where's your earring?"

"Hmm?"

The streamer raised his hand and touched his ear.

"Oh, I must have forgotten to put it back in after I had a shower this morning."

He easily explained his mistake but Bams face dropped.

"You... forgot? You forgot about me?"

"Huh? What are you talking about Bam?"

The brunettes golden eyes dimmed and narrowed.

"You forgot about me. I thought you said you were mine? I thought you said you loved me but... you forgot about me."

Bam was lost again. Lost in his thoughts. In his despair. The anxiety taking over him as he forgot about everything else.

"You lied to me."

"Bam? What's wrong, what's going on?"

Khun looked fearful of the glint in his partners eye. The brunette roughly grabbed him by the arm and pulled him in close, hissing in his ear.

"Well if you won't wear it, I'll just have to give you marks you can't remove."

With a vice like grip, Bam held on to his lover as he sank his teeth into his neck, kissing it, sucking it.

"Wait! Bam stop!"

The smaller boy begged through his pain as his boyfriend left large, dark bruises on his skin with his mouth. Khun struggled until he was able to break free, rubbing the aching spots on his neck.

"What the fuck Bam?"

His fear suddenly taken over with anger.

"What the hell is wrong with you?!"

"What's wrong with me? There's nothing wrong with me, I'm just marking what's mine!"

The two shouted at each other.

"The fuck? I'm not a fucking object Bam. You don't own me. You can't just do whatever the hell you want with me!"

And Bam knew it was true, he had crossed a line but he was still so anxious, so angry and disconcerted.

"I know that! But I need it. I need my mark on you. I need everyone to see it. The earring..."

His face twisted as his eyes started to tear up with emotion.

"What is the big deal about this fucking earring!?"

Khun pushed passed Bam, storming to their bedroom and into the ensuite, Bam chased after him.

"This fucking thing?"

He picked it up from the side where he left it, he was so unbelievably angry and frustrated with his partner. All of the events from the recent days mounted up on Khuns shoulders and he finally lost it.
