City Lights

City Lights

City Lights

They shine so bright

Artificial moons

Yep.

Beautiful.

Walking alone,

Down a lonely alley.

The city lights.

Oh, they shine so bright.

Alone as I walk,

Not a whisper

Nor a shout

The trees whistle,

Owls hoot

No one to guide me

But the city lights

And so I walk

Down, down the road.

But alas.

A fuse.

No more lights.

No one to guide me.

I am lost.

As I look beyond

Those once beloved

City lights,

My gaze falls on

An angel.

A beloved,

Beautiful Angel

Glowing bright

Guiding me

The Moon.

My Moon.
